I did not know that... thanks for the heads up!

Have a tuner handy.Sharpies have a terrible effect on tone.
I think white silk would look ok. Black would just get lost and look like the strings suddenly went nowhere.![]()
Any preferred cleaning products for the Thunderbirds? I have a $20 credit at Guitar Center, so I figured that would be a good thing to get. I was thinking of Gibson's stuff since they know their finishes the best, but maybe it's not rocket science.
Cool, thanks.i use the Dunlop spray (formula 65 or something like that) or the Gibson type. No real preference just what is available when I purchase it.
For 50$, you can get a double rifle case at Walmart.com. The interior foam will need to be trimmed. Someone on another thread mentioned that they did this and the bird fit just fineI am using roadrunner avenue RR1EB gigbags. $39 normal price at GC but have gone on sale as low as $29.

It is a tight fit, but it is a fit. Much better than that cheap fender bag with nonexistent padding.
Same.I just can't brimg myself to hot the "like" button. If that bottle were Crown then all would be right in the world. For me.

Truth be told, I can count the number of bottles of Jack that I've consumed in my lifetime on less than one finger. But I gotta admit, the gun case loaded with a Lemmy type Ric (or the Bird of your choice) and a bottle of booze and pack of smokes just screams Rock-n-Roll!I probably hate spirits more than @Sartori hates string silks. Can be used for cleaning, but window cleaner is cheaper.

simply due to the Jack. We brawled when I was fifteen or sixteen amd I haven't looked back in that alley.I just can't brimg myself to hot the "like" button. If that bottle were Crown then all would be right in the world. For me.
You know, I have 2 Tokai basses that are nearly identical and both have TB pickups. One, the blackbird replica sounds much more agressive than the other. The pickups in the blackbird I bough of Brian Scott who has a huge collection of Nikki's basses. He told me that when he bought one of Nikki's basses, this used set of pickups was in the case as is the case alot of the time (extra parts in case. They very well may have come from one of his blackbirds. The pickups are great and I'm very good cosmetic shape, I wonder why they were pulled in first place. I paid $200 for them and like I said, that's the best sounding of my birds. I would so love a real blackbird. ..yeah right.
I really like mine. It is a mean sounding bass.
