amazing how good this valvetrain looks after almost 100k miles….

exactly, the Greco tailpiece was giving me a hard time with the E string silk…..

so I replaced it with a more traditional design (which is more rounded at the bottom requiring bigger screws)…….replacement of the three point for a Badbird (V has the same on her Greco) confirms the Hipshot will fit the Greco since it (Badbird) was designed for Gibsons and Eppis using three points…..

Regular oil changes!

So I turned in my company car a few weeks ago when I changed clampdowns. We got a ‘24 Subie Crosstrek a couple weeks ago. So my wife is pretty much calling that her car and making me drive the old ‘16 Honda CRV. At least it’s AWD. Life is not fair sometimes.

FWIW, the ‘24 Crosstrek is the best snow car I’ve ever driven. And I’ve had several AWDs over the last thirty years or so. Highly recommended.

Its a Vintage Pro. I heard about the problems with the 3 point bridge on some versions so I like that this one had the tune o matic bridge but also it was only 750 and I don't make a lot of money.

So the VP is stellar. But a Gibson, no matter the year, will likely feel and play a bit better. But the prices, new and used, for them have been ridiculous for the last couple of years.

80% of the sound of a Stingray comes from the preamp imho….integral part of it’s character….which begs the question, has anyone heard a passive one? I would love to…
