Thunderbird Club

You're gonna need to eat tonight, right? :smug:
Yep, but I don't live in Queen Anne or on Capitol Hill. Seattle is very much a city of neighborhoods. I'm in another neighborhood and don't get out much. There's so much I can walk to that there's not much reason to go anywhere else. We have a Turkish/Mediterranean place, Pam's Kitchen, several sushi places, several Thai places, an Afghan restaurant, a Greek restaurant, an Irish pub, a couple taquerias, Dick's Drive-In, and the usual assortment of dive bars and other places within less than a mile. And a whole lot of other places that I can't think of at the moment. It's unusual to have a reason to go to a different neighborhood to eat. When I'm downtown at the office, about three blocks from where V works, there's a huge assortment of different Asian places within walking distance for when I don't get motivated and bring a sandwich. Plus Emerald City Guitars, which I have been neglecting badly these days.

Life is pretty good, overall. And the moral of this story is that I have to make a point of going anywhere I can't walk to.

Sounds like you've got a lot of great options nearby. Driving is the only way to get something to eat where I live. That is, unless I make a loud noise towards something in the yard or woods. But the neighbors might get a little curious.

Good luck finding it and it ain't cheap. I think of it as a desert at that price, but it's not all that sweet. The initial bouquet is lively, but not overpowering to the olfactory nerve; once tasted, it blossoms and the profusion of plenteous flavors excite the palate, leaving your taste buds wanting a cigarette. (OK, none of this is true. I just like making fun of professional food and drink connoisseurs who seem to be in competition to outdo each other with creative adjectival usage. And I didn't even use terms like nutty or smokey.)

Likely have to go to a local Cuban grocery, which is often attached to a small Cuban restaurant.
You have small Cubans in KY?
