Ken has yet to join us.
That’s Irv.
Bah! I wasn’t sure, sorry… edited.
I assign themHow do we get member numbers?
How important are Gibson pickups in the Thunderbird tone? I love my Thunderbirds tone, which are hand wound in modern humbuckers. Yet I wonder how much of the Thunderbird tone is the pickups (which I’m missing out on) and how much is everything else (which I have).
It’s an Epiphone Thunderbird Pro V with a Darkglass Tone Capsule and Gemini devastator pickups because the stock electronics are terrible.
Hey Mike @GonePlaid, turn the Kasino down.

Isn't bass non-directional?Nope, not me. Kasino faces northeast, Tampa is WNW of me.
Like you I just enjoy electronics!beautifully gratifying work and experience, good for you. thanks for sharing….![]()
That happened to a colleague. I wasn’t there but she has recounted the story a couple of times.Don't forget the +/- 8' of toilet paper caught on the left heel.
I’m downsizing too. Except not Thunderbirds.Like you I just enjoy electronics!
I still dabble in some electronic projects but no pressure since I retired.
The T-Bird club is a great group too but I have succumbed to the addiction by adding a 2nd T-Bird to my collection and I’m supposed to be downsizing…I’m running out of excuses!
Or amps or cabs…I’m downsizing too. Except not Thunderbirds.
I think that’s Frank’s job.Glad I’m getting there before everyone else![]()
I did indeed. Would that be you?I think you just volunteered to pick it up for someone.
That is right. I forgot. The usual Thunderbird is passive, so I wouldn't worry about it much if you are happy with what your bass sounds like. It is a Thunderbird and that's al that's important. It’s an Epiphone Thunderbird Pro V with a Darkglass Tone Capsule and Gemini devastator pickups because the stock electronics are terrible.
