A Greco 'Bird popped up for less than $1K locally on Craigslist. It is one neighborhood to the north of me, and I almost called the seller. It looks like it could be a decent one, although I prefer chrome hardware to black.

Buy it!!! It looks like my first Greco. Great basses and that is pretty clean.

Looks like RF noise getting into the High gain TL074CN Quad Op-Amp circuit.
I remember having to put ground pours around the analog circuits in SMD layouts.
If it was a mixed analog/digital circuit I usually had to add a metal can over the high gain analog to do a similar job like your fix.
Dang I miss electronics! Good job Chuck!

thx but this wasn’t me, it’s actually the manufacturer fix, I was looking at a DI issue…..that said, I’ve fixed issues like that by spec’ing in slower opamps in the past…which prompts the question, what industry were you serving if I may?…

Just got this home, haven't even plugged it in. Sorry for the poor photo, I'll do better tomorrow. Still a few things to do. Luthier had it quite a while, even put in Hipshots because my Res-O-Lights wouldn't fit, he says it sounds great. He wouldn't take payment because he had it so long, not even for the Hipshots! It's only 7 lbs 10 ozs.

I still need trim rings, decide on the white, a black or no pickguard (my wife's suggestion). May put in a matching knob on a dummy pot where the coil splitting mini switch is (which he also provided for free because the pot I provided was too tall), move the mini switch where the output jack is and put a Puretone output on the side Ala VP.
