Thunderbird Club

I think it’s funny how quickly we’ve started tossing chips at Sub. I can’t remember. He’s close to you, no? Like Ohio?

Just a reminder. Book your flights and hotels now and get thee out to Seattle for the GTG. Last weekend in July. V says we can arrive early and stay late. Make a vacation out of it, meet your friends in person, and have one of the best times you’ve had in years. Hell. I’ve considered starting a Go Fund Me to get Mike there. But I’m not convinced he would get on a plane.
Nope. Train, maybe-if I could find someone to look after the house, the cat, my various bills, feed the outside critters, etc. for two weeks(the time it would take to get there and back).

yep
yeah….

I raced my bicycle at the Vandenberg Air Force Base in the late '90s. It was a two day, 3 race stage-race. (individual time-trial/crit on Sat - RR on Sunday) I won the criterium on Saturday. The road-race on Sunday was on the coast into a stiff wind. I didn't do as well then. :)
What was the coast route? The base to Casmalia up to Guadeloupe and a return?

wanted one soooo bad, Chis Squire played one, Geddy Lee played one, Paul Goddard played one and so on…..there was too much going on for me…that weird bridge, that stereo wiring, anemic neck pup, weird neck, no real thumb rest, no offense to any fan but they felt kinda “cheap”….(purely subjective of course)…
Heck. Martin Turner played one too. But he eventually saw the light.

I'd have to see if there's an online record of the route. It was brutal, that's all I recall. An out & back loop twice. I distinctly recall my lower back killing me when I finished. The Sat ITT was on the air-base itself, and the crit was held at a small triangular-shaped park in the vicinity.

I’d still take the right one.
Too bad this one had a twisted neck.

that rig must have KILLED…..Geddy would probably approve……wish I would have tried one with the Leo Quan bridge, something tells me (dunno, could be totally wrong) that it would favor those basses from a fingerstyle standpoint….

Exactly. My take as well.

totally agree and in all fairness, it worked beautifully (for me) when played with a pick……didn’t like them for fingerstyle….

I owned/played mine before joining Bond Girl when I started favoring pick-playing ala Carol Kaye. So who knows what might have been if I had it then.
