Took me decades to find this song, having heard it at a cousin's house the summer of 1976. Never knew who it was, used to think it was an obscure Doors song because of the haunting Fender Rhodes and baritone voice.

But it was that subtle slur in the opening from F# to G that blew me away, a stellar way of imparting tension for a poignant tribute to a former band member-

So, at about the 30 year mark I finally found it briefly played as the theme in a "Behind the Music" episode where one of the members recounted said loss of bandmate.

Sounds like Bob Welsh-era Fleetwood Mac - if Bob was singing just out of his range. But there’s definitely parts that are instrumentally Doorsier.

I had to deal with an electrical installation company what went bust on a project back in the early 1990s. The guy whose company it was came originally from somewhere in the Middle East and his name was Najib. We started calling his company Najib's NaLectric. That led to putting Na- in front of pretty much everything that didn't go right. Or if you just said something was Na, everyone on the jobsite knew exactly what you were talking about. It was a mess. I ended up taking over managing the work for him, which was pretty funny since I'm an architect and sometime carpenter, not anything like an electrician, let alone a specialized electrician like that project required. We got the project done, but every time Na anything comes up, I think of the Wilson Pickett song and Najib. I was commuting with a carpenter to the jobsite and we would occasionally sing that at the top of our lungs on the way home when things went completely sideways for a day. On that project, it was a regular occurrence, but that's a different war story.

I wish I could have seen him do that live. There’s a killer concert video on YT.

Yeah- I bet you're thinking of "Hypnotized" the only track I know of from the last Mac album he was on- great stuff indeed! Like the other, it took forever to find it online since I thought it was off one of his solo albums-

I think I mentioned before, but I was doing a funeral here for a friend's mother and while standing in the chapel (which was a mausoleum), right beside me at eye level was Wilson Pickett's crypt. I didn't even know he was buried here. Took be by surprise to be standing right next to such an important and famous person. The funeral was here because his mother was buried here. I don't recall why she was here.

If only he’d burst into song and dance.

I really like mine-- word to the wise, although they say to order by your pant waist size, and that the middle posiition fits that, I found that it was at the last detent (the loosest) of the six holes that fit me.

With that said, after losing about twenty pounds since the purchase, I'm at the second to tightest, to tightest position out of the six positions-

Looking at a set of Hipshot Ultralight Tuners to add clover tuners on my Through neck Epi T-Bird. Overhauling my Trans-Black Bird that right now has Black pickups, Black tuners and a Black pickguard. It plays great...just needs a little bling.
Currently it's on the left...the right is my photoshop mock up.

It has nice grain but all of the black parts makes it look too dark.
Anyone install a set of these tuners? If so do you like them? I think I will need the 3/8 tuners?
