Thunderbird Club

My, aren't you photogenic! I began to see a pattern with your earlier 4. 5 pick spread, among others-

This is is about as photogenic as I get!

See what I mean -

Lost over 20 pounds since then but still take bad pics- I’m thinking a bit of Thunderbird (not the wine, but maybe that too!) will help- will see about getting some taken when my drummer bro returns from Guatemala on the 28th-

Anyhow thought I’d let y’all know what member number 922 looks like, given my extensive posting as of late-
Durn long-haired hippie.

There are a few sit-coms that are supposed to be good, but I think Seinfeld ruined me for trying anything new, I shaging hated that show. ( I have dealt with enough self-centered shagwads in my life to know their behavior is not funny)

I tried to get into the "office" and "modern family" but maybe I don't have the attention span I used to.

been on a Vincent Price/Peter Cushing/Christopher Lee poopy 70's horror movie kick lately.... good stuff...

I heard parks and rec is good too

and I did watch an episode of "only murderers in the building" not sure if it grabbed my attention enuff to continue
Possibly one of the most bizarre movies I’ve ever seen, so left field it’ll probably be a cult classic someday….

Yeah- I bet you're thinking of "Hypnotized" the only track I know of from the last Mac album he was on- great stuff indeed! Like the other, it took forever to find it online since I thought it was off one of his solo albums-

Strange album cover, though-- reminds one a bit of ELP's Tarkus-

When French Kiss came out, and Sentimental Lady got a lot of play, Hypnotized was getting a lot of play again too. It is reasonable to assume it was on his solo album.

Wanted to let you, that in the spirit of toning down my language, I used an Australian expression this morning-

I had turned my amp ready to go when I heard that all too familiar hum when the cable is unplugged- forgot that I had switched basses a previous night-

So I said crrrrr....ikey! Because I didn't feel like hearing that nasty crack when plugging in a live cable- then put the amp in standby to plugin, then go back and take it off standby and play-
Just turn the input volume down.

Thanks! Getting a new pick guard from Pickguardian and I like Mike's Pickguard on his NR so stealing (Um...borrowing) his idea of the Mica material.
Ordering all the other parts and I'll post the finished Bird when she's all done.
If you want to really finish that off nicely, Irv (@Engle ) can supply a nice Tbird logo appliqué.

Looking at a set of Hipshot Ultralight Tuners to add clover tuners on my Through neck Epi T-Bird. Overhauling my Trans-Black Bird that right now has Black pickups, Black tuners and a Black pickguard. It plays great...just needs a little bling.
Currently it's on the left...the right is my photoshop mock up.

It has nice grain but all of the black parts makes it look too dark.
Anyone install a set of these tuners? If so do you like them? I think I will need the 3/8 tuners?

I don't have ultralites on my bird, but i do have a set (1/2" post though), on my squier affinity pbass (an upgrade from the small post clover keys they had - they still work, just wanted to replicate my original 1st squier pbass i had when i was 8-9 years old). Anyway, to answer the question: I love em very much. Simple to install (after drilling out the hole that is, in my case). They hold tune, no grinding of gear. & keeps the bass lightweight (as if it really needs the help to begin with, it balances great).

I'm sure the 3/8" versions are great too. My next set will be 3 standards & a Dtune/xtender for a stingray bass i'm building myself (i'm only missing the preamp as i've got the rest). Dig your mockup, will you still have a bird engraved on the gold guard?

In California, you can sue anyone for anything. Doesn’t mean you’ll get anything. I’d need to research the jurisdictional issue. May have to go to Federal Court.
I friend is a prosecutor in VA. Maybe you guys can put the geographical squeeze on him. Then again he may show up in court with nothing but a smile....
