I’m leasing the Crosstrek I just got and only pay for 1k miles a month.

Not since I was 20 have I put this few miles a month on a car, except for extenuating circumstances (injury, no work & no one hiring, etc.)

Hoping these will be similar to TB+, but less dark. I used my ‘99 that still has the original TB+, and while they’re not bad, I just want something a little different, somewhere in between the TB+ and the Vintage re-issues. Since these use ceramic magnets, I’m hoping for just that.

Would likely make less expensive as well. As I think about it, I really wonder if it would happen just from a numbers perspective. He's a legend, no denying that, but it's likely an increasingly small number of players who know of him. Not a dis in any way. But it would be cool, and well deserved.

It’s a cool amphitheater. They did a lot of planning and spent a ton of money renovating it ten years ago. Probably too much money. There were political reasons that I won’t go into pushing the project.

Thanks. That was a really interesting read.

We live up a winding road on a hill, which is the only way in or out. Some of it was moving and this was essentially what was done here.

So I hate to ask for this, seems as though I should know, but these Dunables came with a four wire. Nice to have the option for “coil tap”, but I have not done that before, nor do I want to at this time. I just want to put these in same as they would be if they were two wire. So:

To confirm;
Black to volume pot lug.
Red/white twisted together.
Green/bare to back of volume pot.


…and when I want to experiment, how would I instal a push/pull volume on each pickup to change modes (from series [humbucking] to parallel, right?)

Correct. You would install a switch that when closed would connect the red/white to ground.

I got a Hipshot US drop tuner with my Orville, but the tuners on it were Hipshot LIC. Sportitech only had one matching left side US tuner in stock, so I bought 3 right side, and converted them.

But they need an incentive to do it. A 999.99 price point won’t bother me. But given the $1299 that the want for the Rex Brown, I’d expect something like $1199.
