Nice pic- cool looking band!

An issue mine is I can be absent minded and have difficulty doing anything fast and accurately- so I compensate- in this case, the buckle-free belt I wear all the time- my primary belt. This is for unexpected impromptu jams or random unanticipated beautiful axe encounters-

It's the same reason I always have a set of earplugs on my keychain-

In other words, in certain ways I'm lazy and incompetent- and make the best of it with technology, however simple it may be-

Thanks - it was a rare warm day* in SF and we shed our tux jackets. Even if it's cold outside and we're playing inside - wearing a monkey-suit is a sweat-fest. Also, being an old pic - Steve our drummer moved out of the area so we have a different drummer now.

*people who live in SF always get a chuckle out of Eric Burton's "...on a warm San Francisco night" lyric!

Starting clearcoat. I can only do three coats a day..No hurry.
Color went on well. Anything that looks strange is just reflection.

I have one, a first-year 2009 model...it's kind of a unique thing, I guess.

Pretty wide at the nut, imo (1.9 inches, I think?), but narrow-ish string spacing (17mm, slightly less than 4-string Thunderbird's 17.5, a bit more than the 16.5mm on my Ibanez 5-strings).

The only Thunderbird I've owned that truly has neck-dive, but not unmanageable, lighter tuners might help.

Not very heavy overall though, mine weighs more or less the same as the other Thunderbirds I have/had.

Most folks have a dislike for either the pickups, pre-amp, or both, that were used in the Pro 4 & 5. I can get sounds I like from mine, but my plans have been to replace the pre-amp at some point; I've no issues with the pickups.

Very nice. I came very close to buying a boat that looked a lot like that from a neighbor who got transferred to Qatar in ‘09. He was practically giving it away because the economy was horrible then. Storing it was the issue for me though. My son still talks about how we should have bought it.

Not directly, generally. But policies affect a number of decision points which can and do have an affect on prices to varying degrees. It's how the market works. There are many factors (some global/some not), that go into price, and that can be one of them. It's actually somewhat complicated due to all the factors that the average person has no knowledge of. A case of not knowing what we don't know, as with any specialized field.

Yes, like everything it's complicated - your summery is correct. Adhering to tb rules, I'll leave it at that.

thanks, have had it from before this house....don't go out as much as we used to since we now got the pool....I really like going to the delta....recognize San Luis reservoir?...heard you mention in an earlier post..

And that has to be some of the nastiest coffee around now. Decades ago I don't recall it being that bad. Apparently they "fixed" it. My Dad drank that all day. Maybe he was ruined to decent coffee while vacationing in Korea with the Army during the non-war, war.

Before the coffee-craze, I think most Americans thought Folgers etc was what coffee was. My mom used to drink boat-loads of it, but very watered down. Then there was the stuff sold at truck-stops drank on road-trips. Coffee pots sitting on their burners all day & night - literally rocket-fuel to keep your eye-lids open! When I graduated from undergrad art-school in the mid '70s, I did some house-painting work for one of the painting instructors. She offered me coffee while I worked and I said sure. She handed me an espresso, something I never had before or even heard of. I thanked her and after tasting it I thought, "man, she really burned this coffee!"

To be fair - all of those automotive colours used on guitars/basses have the same variety. Just google any of them and you'll see dozens of different shades/hues.
