I remember when folks dined with percolated coffee….

I think I heard, read, or saw something somewhere that said percolating coffee was the worst thing you can do to it?

Well, all of you better stay on the porch unless you want to go home smellin' like some burnt caps and transistors, from a bad bass whoopin'. I'm telling you, I've got the worst bass player thing covered, so if you were thinking about it, just have a seat. I wouldn't lie about something that important.

It helps a lot. Thanks. I’m a dyed in the wool 19mm string spacing player. I have another 5 that is 16.5 and it gets zero playing time.

I'm kind of the opposite, I guess, I love the more narrow string spacing. My Ibanez 5-strings with 16.5mm actually get more play time than the Pro 5, primarily because of the narrower width at the nut.

I have a Dean Zelinsky “Mule” bass that I love how it plays and sounds. But after awhile the narrow string spacing gets uncomfortable.

My sister found one of those when she was cleaning out my parents house. We used it last time I was there. Works fine but makes pretty strong coffee, but that could be that we weren't used to using it and used too much coffee grounds.

I think that's correct - that process is like drip on steroids.

I don’t play a Pro V but I have a Pro IV so I can comment on quality and very nice build. I copper shielded the controls and preamp so very low noise but most my electrics are copper shielded. The fit and finish is really good. Nice grain and finish.

Stays in tune with through neck. Maybe a tad heavier then my 60’s model which has a slightly thinner neck. The Pro IV has a slightly smaller headstock but a nice Epiphone inlay.

We kept using a percolator off and on until it sprung a leak. Then we got a French press as the alternate to the drip. When the power is out in a winter storm, it’s cowboy coffee at the fireplace.
