When I first met my wife, her grandfather still had a ‘57 New Yorker wagon. It was quite the luxo cruiser. But it was amazing how rusted out it was by 1980. And it had always been a SoCal car from new. It looked like this one

Thanks Counselor! He has the right to remain silent.
Love the batwing look! Might put some on one of my Goth basses.
Speaking of Goth basses, umteen pages back someone posted a link to a white Eppi Goth. I seem to recall seeing another one (maybe the same one for all I know) years ago. Did Eppi actually make a white Goth, or is that just someone’s refin?
They giving away gold samples?Out for a drive this afternoon after a stressful couple days of work and passed by this place. Looks to be a good place to store vintage Thunderbirds. It's about 40 min from the house.

Yes. But seemed they changed their mind. Had to run for it.They giving away gold samples?
Yeah. But a white Tbird called the archangel could be cool…I've never heard of them offering a white Goth in the past.
Negative Goth? I know there's a Negative EB3:I've never heard of them offering a white Goth in the past.

I think so but don't remember.Interesting. Does your '91 have the deeper pickup cavity cutouts like all relatively recent Thunderbirds?
If I ever put a chrome pg on the Flamingo, that would be a pretty amusing graphic to have on it. The white pg doesn't work too well. Black wouldn't be right. Gold would be OK with the knobs and Gibson on the track, but dulled chrome like the covers seems best. Or purple to pick up on the tone silks.Downloaded that in case someone wants it on a pickguard sometime.

Another question is if you replaced the ceramic magnets (which I love) with alnico, would the pickups sound different with them at the bottom as opposed to also acting as the rails?Makes sense. Next question: is there any way to change the magnets from ceramic to alnico?
Magnets are available:
Alnico 5 Bar Magnet 2.5x .325 x .125 Thunderbird Bass Magnetized Qty 2

Nothing will happen for years, because that is the speed I roll.
