I like that tiny OLED display on your nexperia demo board. Those displays are amazing...very low power since they don't need a backlight. Super tiny, legible fonts too.
Also whenever they build a demo board they can plop a noisy switching 5V 3A DC DC convertor on an island away from the other circuits.
In most consumer designs you almost never have that kind of real estate. That noisy switcher might be crammed on a little circuit board right next to the audio circuit in a guitar pedal or other small audio design!
My question is what is that ultra bright backlight thing next to the batteries?
It looks like an LED backlight for an LED display or maybe some Alien control pad?
You're having too much fun at work!

"fluorescent red hair." Yeah, there's your signal.

For the record, my wife's hair is not fluorescent red. When we met she was OK with my long hair. But I do/did have standards and fluorescent anything would have just been a one or maybe two date thing.
OK, maybe three or four. My standards back then were somewhat malleable.
Shawna's hair was naturally bright, bright orange-red.

the IoT (internet of things) trend has made it necessary to provide power ( periodically replacing batts is not realistic) to small remote devices….. this has driven “energy harvesting” techniques where one can charge a small remote battery by way of vibration, ambient acoustic energy (noise mostly) and light….we offer a part that performs these actions and offer a customer demonstration module (like in the pic) to showcase the different operating modes of this part….
That's pretty amazing. Energy harvesting of noise would be incredibly useful in some places.

Imbedding them in bridges and roads to harvest the energy from the car's road noise vibrations to possibly power street lights or heat the road to melt snow or even ice would be one idea. Imagine no salt on the roads in the winter! They use tons of salt here in Ohio!

If you want to see a surreal selection of AI produced examples, type in 'red-heads' in Pinterest. I mean, there are examples of beautiful girls/women/models in the real world - but the AI examples are impossibly beautiful. Such makes "Barbie" as unrealistic symbol of women laughable.

I really like the locking yoke on the Hercules.

That’s a very gig friendly stand that folds up super compact for transport. Better than the Herc for stage work but I like the Herc better in the studio and at home where the stand is pretty much stationary.

I really like the Hercs. I guess if I played on a tiny stage or if public transportation were a viable option, I might not want to lug it around. As is, I have a good system that fits well in my Mazda 3, isn't too heavy (thanks to a foldable hand truck for the fx board and amps), and only requires two trips (ditto thanks) from the car with everything. I'm currently using my gig bag for stands; I need to get a better bag for those.

On the four pickup Goth I think I’ll work towards quick easy on the fly tone changes with a single volume and single tone knob but utilize pickup switching similar to my Dingwall. I can go with a four position pup selector switch, the question is what pup combinations would be most useful. Leaning towards this wiring right now, but open to other ideas and switching options…
Position 1 - bridge
Position 2 - neck
Position 3 - both center pups
Position 4 - all four pups
My Hagstrom guitar only has two pickups, but is custom wired. I really like having a switch per p/u (on, off, reverse phase) and a series/parallel switch. Whenever I get around to building the 3 or 4, I expect to do something like that with the per-PU switch, but I won't bother with S/P with more than two pickups.

Yes, lots of studies on how these poor teens already feel intimidated by all of the Filter enhanced photos on the internet that make people look perfect! Now along comes AI and it creates hyper-perfect, realistic photos and videos.

It's bizarre - too real, too perfect - and creepily lifeless.

With extra digits and limbs! Who can compete with that besides maybe Doc Ock and Spiderman?

Well, for the record, Shawna was not impossibly beautiful. She was immensely entertaining to be around, though. She was not just a redhead, she was fluorescently pale to go along with it. She could be sunburned under an incandescent bulb. Last I heard, she had moved to Arizona. Go figure.

Yes I never could figure out if you want AI to draw a Bass player there's always more tuners then strings on the bass. Plus like you said...the fingers are wonky too...in between the strings!

You should read his books!

While I was writing the third one, Sharon and I saw the first Dr Strange movie in a theater. During the scene where Dr Strange was fighting Dormamu, Sharon and I looked at each other and said, "That's <place_in_books>!" When our son finished his beta reader copy, his first comment was, "What did Mom think of the acid trip sequence?"
There's no acid trip, but some of what happened there may have been influenced by long ago trips. My brain can revert there on command. Or in my dreams. But that dream was nothing compared to <place_in_books>.

I don't think the devices Chuck was describing could melt that much ice, but it would be cool!
