Thunderbird Club

Here are some bits of a TC-related dream, if not Thunderbird-related:

I was at a potluck. Veronica was about to eat a pixie for the first time (you swallow them whole like some eat oysters). I stopped her and said she had to make sure it was dead, otherwise it would wake up and scratch and bite, wreaking havoc on her digestive system. Later V was looking for the twist-on/off lid to the can of worms she had left opened.

There were a lot of people at the potluck, including most of the more prolific TC posters, but there were other, random people there as well.

EBCF
Power Flats
La Bella black tapes

The purple silk power players.
LaBella DTFs on my Epi EB-0(sorta). Black silks at h.s., no silks at bridge. E string was dead outta the pkg., so I put a used EBCF E on it. Had to cut it short so no silks at h.s., purple at bridge.
The Ibanez semi-hollow has the tapes-pretty sure they're D'Addarios. Blue silks.

I worked with a redhead who had serious back. She met Sir-Mix-a-Lot. He liked her a whole lot.

We called her Nature's Danger Signal for her almost fluorescent red hair.

"fluorescent red hair." Yeah, there's your signal.

For the record, my wife's hair is not fluorescent red. When we met she was OK with my long hair. But I do/did have standards and fluorescent anything would have just been a one or maybe two date thing.
OK, maybe three or four. My standards back then were somewhat malleable.

"Standards? We don't need no stinkin' standards."

Yeah, I think they look silly and am certain they sound awful. And tubes....likely make the whole mess worse.

Oh, and I hate that pale color.

Who am I kidding. I would even drink a lot of Peanut butter flavored whiskey for that white one.

yeah, I lose track quick…
I can usually recall.p or tell. The stainless Dunlops I use are a slight bit “softer” to the touch and shinier when new than the SITs. At least when they’re fresh. If not, the ball ends help clue me in as to what is on there. But I’ve started trying to keep better track all the same.

Easy on the "Shrooms" there Miles

Guy needs a place to set his drink
My aunt was very well endowed up top. My uncle was sitting next to her at our house once when I was young. He sat his coke on her "shelf" got up to go to the restroom and walked off. Picked it up when he came back. He was a real jokester and she played it cool and acted like nothing happened, not giving him the shocked look he likely hoped for.

Please say I wasn't there even in the dream.

With SIT Foundations, the ball ends are all red. I like it. I'm not ashamed to say I have confused string sets before.

The less expensive sibling of the Hercules.
I really like the locking yoke on the Hercules.

I have two of the Ultimate Guitar stands. One like below and the other with the useless mechanical closing ears. I didn't want one like that but it was cheap years ago. Nice pick holder slots at the top as well.

That’s a very gig friendly stand that folds up super compact for transport. Better than the Herc for stage work but I like the Herc better in the studio and at home where the stand is pretty much stationary.

Hope @PillO is doing ok
I miss the guy and his brilliant dry humor and quick wit. Hope he’s doing ok these days, he was having a lot of hand problems.

Messed that up. If you had only bought one of his Porsches he would given you the BaCH. Maybe.
Yes, your choice of a free BaCH or free Greco if you buy my 1997 911 at the standard market value.

I’m super happy i modded mine the way I did, covers way more tonal possibilities then I had anticipated.
Covers it all from angry to polite.
I can’t emphasize enough how much more versatile my three pickup BlingBird is vs my single pickup Tbirds. Because of that I’ll be experimenting with a four pickup Goth to see if that falls into the category of diminishing returns. The other thing to keep in mind on these multi pup mods is the control circuit. Three volumes and three tone knobs like my BlingBird has is super versatile but not as gig friendly as yours with the single master tone knob.

On the four pickup Goth I think I’ll work towards quick easy on the fly tone changes with a single volume and single tone knob but utilize pickup switching similar to my Dingwall. I can go with a four position pup selector switch, the question is what pup combinations would be most useful. Leaning towards this wiring right now, but open to other ideas and switching options…
Position 1 - bridge
Position 2 - neck
Position 3 - both center pups
Position 4 - all four pups

What is that?

[failure at geekness. I must just be a nerd.]
the IoT (internet of things) trend has made it necessary to provide power ( periodically replacing batts is not realistic) to small remote devices….. this has driven “energy harvesting” techniques where one can charge a small remote battery by way of vibration, ambient acoustic energy (noise mostly) and light….we offer a part that performs these actions and offer a customer demonstration module (like in the pic) to showcase the different operating modes of this part….
