Thunderbird Club

:roflmao:

Sounds like the town I grew up in. Except cell service hadn't been invented yet. Neither had downhill.

Or had a pool going for what the USGS announcement would have been. I was at a business meeting in Marina del Rey in the early 80s when a high 4 hit. All the folks from Texas dove under the tables and all the CA natives starting betting on the size.

I just watched a Japanese TV weather person doing her thing while an earthquake occurred - she noted the shaking and was stumbling as the building rocked but kept doing her job delivering the weather report. They showed the ceiling & stage-lights were moving all around and pieces of the ceiling were falling but she just stabilized herself against the wall and kept talking! The Japanese are pro's when it comes to earthquakes.

yeah, got one years ago…. the construction quality is breathtaking…..I could literally stare at the innards for hours…..truly a handmade work of art…
just the tubes alone are probably worth well over 500 bucks and won’t go into the incredibly complicated multi level rotary switches etc…..unfortunately, no room….:rollno:
