Thunderbird Club

I think Chucky likes his too. Mine is great.
yep, mine’s a keeper…. in fact, prefer it to the 2021s I’ve tried….

I get the bandmate humor, and have my share of issues with certain drummers I've played with, but I am generally very nice to drummers I play with as they are my direct connection with the end result as part of the rhythm section. I'm not afraid to ask for this or that way of playing in a song but always paraphrase it with... "...I'm not a drummer and don't want to tell you what to do, but...". Classic passive-aggressive move.
you’re way too nice…

I have many friends that are drummers, probably more than guitarists. At least ones I would play with;)

I feel very fortunate dealing with our Paul who is the guitarist in both BG & TSC. I really like him as a person and as a bandmate/guitarist & composer. Partially because we're both mid-westerners - straight forward salt-of-the-earth types. There's an unspoken affinity there for sure. He's a very generous person and doesn't express the "ego" gene that many guitarist do. And he's very tolerant of my non-schooled playing and helps me on certain parts of his compositions w/o being condescending. That means a lot to me playing in our ensemble/group/band. I've also seen the other side and I really felt uncomfortable in that situation - it starts to feel abusive and I don't want any part of that.

I became a big fan of it when I spent time studying abroad in Britain. There are a half dozen places within five miles of me. I can’t convince anyone to go with me to try them.

I too like Indian food - I like most ethnic/cultural varieties for that matter. Beth can make dishes in most any variety and there's not one I've not liked yet. Favorite?... as much as I like many others - I guess I'll have to say Italian, as it's what I eat the most. I am of Polish/Czech descent - but have always loved pasta.

although I don’t refuse it, Indian is way too complex for me….I like fresh (even raw) and simple, totally agree with you on Italian…. not because I’m one but convinced that along with Japanese make for the best balance on taste and variety out there…

Yes, love Japanese as well... great Japanese restaurants in Chicago and here in SF.

What type of coating?

What type paint did you use?

It's an acetone based paint called Tru-Color, I use it for my model trains, thinned with Du Pont 3602 Automotive lacquer. It flashes off very quickly, I shot the first coat kind of dry and slow, filling in all the color, then without cleaning the airbrush I add clear 3602 and mix it with the resid in the airbrush color cup and reshoot, this re-heats the paint while leveling and glossing at the same time, then repeat this step. The paint will flash off within a couple minutes, then I shot some clear gloss coat and repeat the process with it's resid and 3602. The paint process barely took 20 minutes, including drying/flash off, it was the masking that I spent most of the 2 hours on.

Huh, maybe. I don't remember. I know I got a free beer or two.

Like Seattle, I have to leave town if I want to get paid.
For what we do, I'm cool with it, band made 1800.00 rooms at the Holiday Inn + food at the last show, no complaints, we earned it.
