Yes, we did. Welcome back.
I am kinda thinking a scattershield and driveline loop might be good ideas in my car. I don't plan on misbehaving to the point those are necessary, but...I’ve seen videos and talked to the guys from BC (before can)
apparently the flywheel going down, bouncing off the pavement and going back through the windshield is a thing
rather not do that….
That is a bit more power than I will have. And my car is heavier since it is a drop top and will have a supplementary frame. It will be plenty to get into a fair amount of trouble.Pump gas street engine, 10.4:1 if my math is right
Should make 550hp/550lb-ft naturally aspirated. Fuel injection, 406”
Too late. The last page has been polluted. It's 90% cars, so he can just jump to the last page.
Much more powerful with a Thunderbird Yoda would be.
I like the way Rob's Avatar says "Amateur Luthier"...what does a real Luthier do that he can't? Dang!
They look bad ass.
Pickups are wired straight to an on off switch. No pots or caps. Unless it’s been modded. My guess is that the “Deep Sixx” labeled pickups are just the stock Epi pickups. Any difference in tone from a regular Epi IV or a Goth is the absence of the tone pot and cap (I’ve not been able to substantiate that theory). It also has the Optigrab pinkie anchor.
I have one that someone modded to add a volume pot. I like it, more for the fact that it’s different than for any other reason.

Here’s a “review” by the mad Scot, Madmalko.
What the heck is a pinkie anchor?

I have passed on several Gibsons due to factory finish issues. Once I notice, it draws my eye, and there's no point in buying something with a flaw that's going to bother me.To me Gibson are worth quite a bit less than they are to everyone else. I was spoiled by working at Taylor Guitars for a short while in the 90s, in the finish department. From that time on, finish flaws have been glaring to me, and Gibson is the king of poor finish prep sanding, and has been for a LONG time.
What the heck is a pinkie anchor?
Ask Sixx. I think he might hold a patent for it.What the heck is a pinkie anchor?
I can't recall seeing a factory finish flaw on any 60's Gibson. Are there any open pores in the mahogany on your NR?That's quite possibly true, but when I'm playing mine, I can't see it. Therefore...
He has a day job, but yeah.I like the way Rob's Avatar says "Amateur Luthier"...what does a real Luthier do that he can't? Dang!
That’s how the other Nikki (Monninger) plays.I have a pic showing how I refer to 'pinky anchor' somewhere in my photo's, (how would that be filed?) but, when I'm not palm muting I use my right hand pinky as a ground/stilt on the body - usually by the bridge pu to anchor my hand while playing.
Thank you Brian. I’ve been waffling on that one. Taxes killed me this year so it is unlikely to land here.
Mine is sub frame connected with a roll cage. 3270 with driver on the NHRA scaleThat is a bit more power than I will have. And my car is heavier since it is a drop top and will have a supplementary frame. It will be plenty to get into a fair amount of trouble.
A pro gets paid. Ergo, his avatar title is behind the times!I like the way Rob's Avatar says "Amateur Luthier"...what does a real Luthier do that he can't? Dang!
