Thunderbird Club

Whenever I hear Sapphire I think Gin and Tonic.

I prefer a Gin Martini. But I’m with you.

You are a treasure here. This post has elevated you to @PillO status.

Thanks. We haven't seen feet in a while.

Oh, nice Thunderbird.

I dunno if anyone could reach @PillO status, maybe you have been hitting the sapphire pretty hard…

besides a rob roy or a neet crown I really only like a filthy shaging martini or a gin and tonic.

wait till y’all see what I have been working on the last 10 days. My feet’s sunburned…

How about leg, no feet?

I fail to see what is funny. That is a perfectly reasonable thought. Although my preference is Hendricks.

Having said that, a local craft brewer has expanded into spirits. I tried their artisanal gin last year and it is great. The taste of cloves really comes thru; an unusual choice for gin, but I approve.

If they used a Belgian yeast, that is a common byproduct of the fermentation process. You can taste it in beers like Lefe.

STRING UPDATE
As many have done here, I’ve settled on EBCF strings as my goto flat. I have them on my capped Goth and they sound great. But after trying these on my Silver Goth…

… I gotta say, they may be my favorite round for deep dark leaning basses (i.e. Goth, 21NR, etc.). Huge bottom end with gobs of punch and grind if the tone knob is rolled off and tons of crystal clear highs as the tone knob is turned up. Really brings a dark bass to life. I suspect they would sound great on an SG/EB style bass as well.
I have never tried those, but I do like exposed cores. Especially on the E. Really can clean and tighten it up if needed.

Fortunately my '06 is flawless. If there is a problem, I can't find it. I was concerned about that when I got it as their reputation proceeded it. Can't say the same for my '21 NR. A couple edges on the bridge end are rough as if not buffed out or not enough layers, I can't really tell and try not to think about it. Fortunately it's not visible, just noticable if you run your hand around the edges. Had I bought it at the going price from a dealer, it would have gone back.
My 11 is flawless as well

kick-ass live version w/a familiar face on bass -
