Have you ever tried Mesa's BassBuster?
Actually it looks like my friend has a Mark III version? I recall his has a graphic EQ on it, and the little research I have done, it seems there were a few iterations of the "Coliseum"
Of those of you that have an Ampeg V4BH, does yours have 4 pre-amp tubes? My V4B-AV only has one 12AU7 and one 12AX7 that I can see.
Edit: NEVERMIND, I see the other two tubes are up on the board, not easily accessible. I can see them through the vent holes.

Early on he played a Jazz, but then the fretless Carl Thompson became his mainstay.
I'm a Primus fan. I suppose i am a little weird!
Besides the musicianship, Les Claypool has a distinctive voice that some people don't like. Kind of like another rock trio with a killer bassist

We had a nice rehearsal last night, just working up 5 songs, my rig and bass. First time using the Les Paul with the valve amp, with just the right touch on the channel volumes it is utterly amazing how this sounds!

Glenn Cornick played on that track though I seem to recall someone saying that a Jazz bass was used, which seems strange as he played Thunderbirds, Reverse and Non Reverse. Love the song regardless, Boree as well.

Sold the Fender Bassman head and bought this MTI era SVT... Then straight-swapped my 8x10 for this Ampeg PR410HLF, which I used to own. This is the *only other* 410 I'd ever want. And it's the heaviest one I've ever experienced.
The whole rig weighs 210 lbs.
Best rig I've ever played through. The sound is clear, it delivers hefty and substantial punch, and it's got a nice set of teeth and "belly" like you read about. The Broughton high pass filter is totally the right accessory here. I love this amp.
The GK 700 RB is there just in case- it's still new to me...
The Thunderbird CP also slays through it...

Nice setup!! I have an MTI SVT and it sounds killer! It just isn't as pretty as yours. Also have the GK700RB and really like it as well. Both good amps!!
