My favorite now is a 15w Orange that does attenuate down but I forget how much. (Capable of 0.5, 1, 7 or 15 Watts)

It does 7ender clean better than 7ender and crunches up better than a marsupial.

10w Vox and a 20w Marshall and a 7ender 15w pro jr are also in the mix but only the Marshall attenuates down to 5w but it's still obnoxiously loud at 5w.

if I had to do it all over again I'd have 2 oranges for about the same price as the 1 marsupial.

You need a lot of watts so that the neighbours can hear how much your playing has improved.

The closest thing I have as a pet-

Adopted my boat- here you see it on the finger pier where it fishes, then sits on my dinghy dock-

I hear you. But it's good to have a few other types of basses. The Foundation fills in for a J bass. I have three Fenders I don't play all that much: the Mustang PJ, the MIM P bass, and a MIM PJ Deluxe. Although the Mustang has moved up to the room where the Mesa is because I'm having some left arm nerve issues related to cervical cord compression from C3-C5. I hate getting old.

I'm gonna re-format it - the "screen-shot" looks like an illustration of "LA"/"Miami Beach"/"Tahiti"... "coastal community where it's warm and sunny" !

That was the Flying V I was sound checking the little Vox amp with for "Paradigms" the one metal/hard rock song I've written thus far- also the same one I had issues with the Boss TU-2 ('Tupolev') tuner I mentioned in an earlier post-

Nicknamed 'Helga' (blessed and holy one in Old Norse) she's a joy to play and belts out 70's hard rock crunch and atmospheric jazz voicings with the best of them-

I humbly ask for grace and pardon if I already posted these Eric Serra soundtrack clips from a favorite film of mine-

This was 19 years before I took up bass in earnest beginning with a Warwick Corvette Fretless though I did recognize fretless bass in these tracks but it took a while before I realized there were some Fretless sliding harmonics in the second clip I'm sharing-





Fast forward where Jean Moreau's character makes progress to a bit more Fretless bass- love Serra's soundtrack here-

I was surprised to see Allan Holdsworth back in 2005 onstage with two of the old school Twin Reverbs stacked but at reasonable volumes (probably achieved via attenuators.)

Because Mesas were generally his preference.
