Thunderbird Club

Brings to mind a Neil classic.

Got the colors correct. Apparently, not visible with the naked eye but a really good camera does catch the colors.

I'm liking that Tele.

Got a story for that one in that I went back on a 'never do this' and that was I would never buy a guitar in what I considered an ugly color even if it were much cheaper than one in my ideal color- Actually told a guitarist friend that a week or so before I made the purchase.

Back in 2014, I was looking for a Fender American Standard Tele and wanted one in either black or red, but the ones I found were at a price I wasn't willing to pay, or the few I found with a good price were snapped it up before I could bid or buy.

So I found this 2013 American Standard Tele in Jade Metallic Pearl for $ 750 where red or black ones were going for upwards from $ 900.. A color that looks really ugly in online pics, particularly the strats I saw in it. Another thing was I was thinking, "Oh, this one is in metallic pearl" from the way it looked in its online pic (must've been the lighting). Then after I made the purchase, I read in the description that it was the Jade- what a drag!

But when it arrived, it looked a lot better in person. Also it was mint new with the pickups and pick guard still covered in plastic!

And it plays and sounds great- so there you have it

I had (still have) a first gen 7ender Blues jr and was fine with it. But 15w is shaging loud. Nice clean and peddles for dirty.

I can't imagine a marsupial 100w half or full stack.

My favorite now is a 15w Orange that does attenuate down but I forget how much. (Capable of 0.5, 1, 7 or 15 Watts)

It does 7ender clean better than 7ender and crunches up better than a marsupial.

10w Vox and a 20w Marshall and a 7ender 15w pro jr are also in the mix but only the Marshall attenuates down to 5w but it's still obnoxiously loud at 5w.

if I had to do it all over again I'd have 2 oranges for about the same price as the 1 marsupial.
How do you like your Vox 10? I have a Ric 12 string and it jangles nicely through the Vox AC10C1 with just a touch of reverb.

We just saw the total solar eclipse of the Sun and now the Aurora Borealis within 6 weeks. We have been lucky this year with natural phenomena. Add a total Lunar eclipse and a meteor shower and I'll be happy! I imagine Engle saw a nice display!
Not sure on lunar eclipse, but they happen regularly, just not always near any inhabited areas. There are annual meteor showers as the earth moves through debris fields. The Leonids and the Persieds are the ones that leap to mind; same time every year and last a few days.
