Quite a beauty - amber'd to a jade green. Pelham blue would have been a rare colour then - most in '64 were brown-burst.

I can think of a few people who would disagree, but I get the concept.
You are thinking of "violet".
There is also "violent", which means "smashed, formerly slightly larger violin".
It can act as both, to some extent.
Years ago, I got back in contact with a musician friend by mailing a letter to the address on his latest record. He replied. We mailed back and forth, sometimes with lapses because one or the other was busy. I'd been waiting over a month for a reply when I read in an article that he'd had a heart attack playing onstage at the Cornerstone festival. He finished the set, told someone afterward what he was feeling, was whisked off in an ambulance, discharged a few days later, and had another heart attack out on the streets. No one around knew CPR and he died. 40 years old. (Mark Heard, though probably only a few will have heard of him.)

As it ages, Pelham Blue nitrocellulose lacquer turns green. This one is a re-fin made to look that way. It's actuallya pretty good price for a '64 with most of it's parts and an unbroken neck. If I didn't already have one, I would have bought this one in a heartbeat.

I didn't read the description so assumed it was a vintage finish. I'm actually not keen on the 'distressing job' if that's the case. Looks like a hack-job. Yes, the price is somewhat reasonable - but if it were me I'd undo that finish straight away.

It's tempting, but I'm having a hard time getting past the paint job, although the paint job is probably why it's not more expensive.
Maybe it's my compression pedal, but compression into fuzz sounds mightier than just fuzzI could argue that fuzz provides compression. But you would counter that fuzz acts as a limiter not a compressor and that it is different. So I won't.

I agree - a refin would make it a nice bass as long as it doesn't have any other issues.
I'm in love! Now I need to build/ refinish a TB in Sherwood green!
Pretty sure Fuller's over in the Heights still has one to check out. I didn't spend much time with it but it seemed a very solid build.

It's cool how they change color with age. I've also seen LPB 7enders that have done that.

I know I'm in the minority, maybe of 1, but I prefer blue to be blue, white to be white etc.
Same with food, I like it to taste like what it is, not radishes that taste like sardines or whatnot.
