I’ve been buying Dunlop Jacquard straps. They’re 65” and marginal on me. Somewhere between 67” and 69” would be perfect for me, and I’m only 5’11”.

Thanks! When we do a version of a song - we all do it however it fits for our individual 'style' (for lack of a better term) w/o discussion... we all use the song outline and embellish it our own way until it gets recorded. :)

I look forward to playing it. Personably, I will always favor the bridge pu - it's where my sound 'lives'... recently completed this 'parts bass' with an Epi Goth neck George gifted me - all 3 pu combinations sound good but the bridge pu especially rocks! '60s Teisco singles rule! :bassist:

I'm an Acoustic Control Amp fanboi, kinda sorta. I hate the sound of a bass through my 126 ACC combo amp. It's got a wheezy light brown quality to it that doesn't suit Thunderbirds. Kinda like a 370 amp through a 408 cabinet. Nobody knows what I'm talking about, but that's OK. I use the 126 in a practice space because it's absolutely bomb proof. Since I got it in 1981, used, it has required exactly one repair. Not too shabby. But it isn't great sounding. I haven't heard a Thunderbird through a Traynor yet. Or an Orange. Through an Ashdown, yes. Excellent. Through an ACC 370 into an Ampeg cabinet, outstanding. Into an Ampeg fliptop, pretty damn good. Through an SVT? Not so good. Through an ACC 360. Voice of God, as long as it's cranked up.
