No wonder you’re part of headquarters, some things just have to be kept secret.
I discussed this here recently and Yes I have a drill press but neck through T-Bird is so awkward to hold or clamp on a drill press. The ferrule difference is so close I’m concerned a hand drill would breakout or chip headstock finish so it was recommended to use a hand reamer.

I wouldn't call it operatic 'though. It's also different on every album, most shrieky and shrill on "A Farewell To Kings".
My first Rush album was "Caress Of Steel" and it's still the dearest. It's strange, it rocks and it was my gateway to progressive rock. It has also some power pop elements (Bacchus Plateau) that made for example Big Star sound strangely familiar when I got into them for the first time about 10 years later.
Geddy's singing was a bit of a shock but I got used to it about a minute in "Bastille Day". And Alex' solo on "No One At The Bridge" is just brilliant.
I understand if many Rush fans don't like that album but it sometimes hurt when the band downplays it. Yes, it didn't sell, they smoked a lot of weed when making it, Paul Stanley didn't get it and the epic doesn't flow (true, but it should be taken as individual songs strung together under "The Fountain Of Lamneth" banner and also the cd should have separate indexes).
I also like "I Think I'm Going Bald" which isn't about Kim Mitchell but Alex Lifeson stressing about his hair (he was 20 years early with his thoughts). It does sound a bit like Max Webster and it rocks plus the lyrics are down to earth and great.

I have both (more J's than P's) and agree - every bassist "can merit" from incorporating a J & a P.
Many years ago I visited Chicago and the surroundings for business. It was in March, and when we arrived, there was a lot of warnings about a coming, very bad snow storm. We where thinking how we manage to do the drive to Millwaukee the next day… Well, the snow storm came, and it was just like another day at home, no problems at all

-Triumph (?Japan, Korea?) P-neck and a no-name J-body with two reverse P-pickups in large covers in 'Lee Sklar Frankenstein' positions plus one OBL J-pickup in 'Richard Sinclair/Hatfield & The North' position). It's in a work-in-progress will-do-something-to-it process...
-70's Fender P-body, Allparts Tele neck, T-Bird pickups
-custom made Jazz with Dimarzio pickups
-Hosco P-body with a '75 Fender P-neck with a refinished (nitro) headstock and early 60's style logo, old Dimarzio pickup
So only one "normal" P.
How do you like the Dimarzio? In the Greco I just got is also a Dimarzio dp122. I have read here on TB in some threads, that that pickup doesn’t sound that good with flatwounds… Then others say it sounds just fine..
I would like to strung my Greco with flats, so I’ll soon find out. And will get the original pup too, so can always change back to that.
