Thunderbird Club

Ouch. I was a mess. Face all tore up. Couldn't do any/much dental work until other areas were healed some or addressed. That was the only time I've been knocked out. Concrete will do that. Woke up and was laying in blood. Almost passed out again!

The pave is a harsh mistress... I learned the hard way early on. Sometimes I blacked-out but a couple times I watched itt happen in (at the moment) in slow-mo...

Almost forgot - “Starman”, where Trevor switches from Fender to that Gibson (that looks like an SG but I keep forgetting the arcane designations for the bass versions)-

I owned-and stupidly sold-a 66 Gibson EB-3(that's what's in the video). Gibson/Epi can re-name them anything they want. To me they'll always be EB-0s(1 pup)/EB-3s(2 pup). So there. Nyah, nyah, nyah.;)

BTW, I'm not a Bowie fan(ducks projectiles). Only looked at video to see the bass: EB-3.

Trevor is playing an EB-3 (Mudbucker + Minibucker), it's guitarist Mick Ronson that's singing with him. Both were great musicians, that I think Bowie (for all his own talent), was more than fortunate to have in his band at the time.

For the Finnish folks around here, the new baby bull at our farm was named Ukko. Fits the Titan theme as his sire is named Atlas. Plus, the white streak on his forehead looks somewhat like a lightening bolt.
I need to be hit by a lightening bolt

It’s so bad that the semiconductor equipment trade group tried to ban whitelist and blacklist.

Yep, in my risk / digital protection realm that came up as a thing a few years ago. Seems to have been forgotten during / since Covid

Softer mids, maybe a way of thinking of it. But if you want the most mids from a string, the Foundations are not it. To me they are more like Power Steels in my applications (which I like and used last night on the NR). They appear to have less mids than the Power Wounds. Maybe it because they sound brighter and lower that the mids seem less than the PWs. The PWs have less sparkle and maybe not as much in the lows. But maybe it's because they are well balanced across the spectrum. After tying all that, maybe it's because they are different! YMMV, but that's what I notice. Accuracy may vary.

Don’t confuse me! :roflmao:
I’ll stick with getting the Power Steels then.

String talk? Just put a new set of EXL170M to my recently purchased Squier Rascal and now it plays great. Inspired by that I put on my gig clothes (or actually the tie, those are my regular clothes) and shades and started to wait (in front of the mirror...) in case some psychedelic power pop band needs a bassist with a green bass. The inverness green NR will travel too.

no

awesome approach…..do you have links for those analyzers? could potentially be used to characterize pups like we talked about years ago…
This is the one on the android phone.

The one on the iPad.
Well, I can't find that one and the others are not free or require subscriptions for modules.

Possibly someone has better options. But the one's I have seem OK to someone who is ignorant.

I’m a big enough fan to make up for it.
