that reverse is the best playing and sounding Gibson I ever laid hands on…..didn’t know a neck and action like that were possible…..

I feel the same about my old II, it's just a sweet player.
How I feel about my '64. best playing and sounding of any bass I've played. Absolutely nothing about it I don't love. Just wish I would have bought another back then....

Interesting. Yeah, I certainly get the love for the NR shape. I'm not so sure I don't prefer it as well. But the reverse feels like it was made for me. I've never played an '60s NR. Come to think of it, I don't think I ever saw a '60s Reverse either, other than the one I bought.

My money is all spent anyway. Our front steps are getting jackhammered out right now, and will be repoured with new concrete and up to code tomorrow. Plus the fretless is off to be Rally Green metallic instead of dark tobacco burst. I now have the same condition as Gone Plaid.
