Thunderbird Club

A mere child.;)

I don't remember a $20 paint job. I even got a $119 paint job from a company that took over his place here. Macco or something like that. It was a work car (1980 Dodge St. Regis--most reliable car I have owned). I was surprised how good it actually looked. I wasn't expecting much.
I got a $199 paint job from Earl Scheib on my 74 Nova SS when I was in high school. I did all the prep and tape work before I ran it down to them.

what color? 396?
Metallic Silver. Then I got candy blue vinyl flames on it. SMDH. I don't know what I was doing. It was my dad's suggestion and I just rolled with it.

It was a 350. Never checked numbers but I highly doubt it was the original block. Nothing crazy on it. 4 barrel Edelbrock 750 with HEI and headers and I don't remember what exhaust.

We had an outfit in the Miami area that was similar: "Johnny and Mack by the railroad track. The world's finest and that's a fact".(why do I remember that?) Anyhoo, I had my 62 Impala convertible painted there. Looked really good-'til some A-hole hitandrun driver smacked into it and f---ed* up the steering. Sold it and bought a 63 Volvo PV544.

Maaco. They did some work for us. It wasn’t bad at all.

Good evening Thunderbird loving sisters and brothers. I am heading across the country next week to a conference in Boston (I know, who plans a conference over the Fourth?). I will be staying at the Marriott in the Copley area. I believe this is downtown. I am hoping to visit either a good bass/music store, or a good venue with live music while I am there. I will at least have Friday afternoon and evening free. Going solo so will be at loose ends. May even go to a game at Fenway, as the Red Sox are hosting the Royals. Would love to check out some great bass gear. Anyone familiar with the city that could recommend stores, clubs, or great restaurants? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

For live music, Lansdowne St., along side Fenway Park, is filled with live music venues. That's about the best I can suggest for that. If you like beer, look for a Trillium Brewing outpost. I think they make the best beer up there.

Have a great trip! My daughter lives in East Boston by Logan. Boston is so cool. Definitely take in a game if you can. My daughter saw them play the Yankees last week and said it was wild.
