Thunderbird Club

Asking 1800

That’s about 800 too high for that condition bass.

For a water damaged bass, with a refin/new faceplate (unbound, non diamond inlay), new nut, upside down replacement black keys (vs the schaller nickel/chrome keys). Chicken knobs vs the Volume/treble/bass reflector knobs. Say the electronics/pickups work, & the truss rod can be adjusted - for the condition & all the above, i wouldn't go over 700$ for it TBH. If there's no case, 500$. Seems like a lowball offer for such a bass, but damn, the condition ruins the whole value.

At least that sign is clear.
This one popped up in our little town on the Chesapeake Bay.
I guess it means if you are an idiot and get hurt on the water or on the rocks,it’s on you. What ever happened to just telling your kids..Don’t do stupid sh**?
Might need Marshall to interpret.
No Gators up our way..except me maybe. :)
Cheers.

This is the problem. The parents don't know so they keep the inferior gene pool overflowing. Disproving Darwin.
We all did stupid stuff, but were trained professionals with experience--and knew it was our fault if it didn't go well--not someone else's. Learning common sense seems a lost art.

I'm not "that guy" lurking in the shadows near the drummer, never wanted to be that kind of bass player, I'm an unashamed attention #$%&@. :woot:

I was thinking about my VP and in the five or six years I’ve had it, I only recall tightening it about an eighth of a turn when I got it. The neck is pretty stable.
Climatic conditions matter. I don't typically adjust anything much either. Living in the midwest or Kentucky would make it a whole lot different. Mike probably doesn't need to adjust his Thunderbird much in Florida, since it's always steaming and humid there. He just has to make sure it doesn't mold.
