I can get all the sounds/tones/whatever outta my TBird and a little tweaking on the amp's EQ. At least partially 'cos of the discomfort[read "pain"]in my left hand-especially the thumb-I prefer to play the bass that is most comfortable to play. And that was my 'only' bass for ~15 years(I had my 66 Gibby EB-3, but since we were playing steady 4 to 6 night/week gigs, the EB-3 stayed in a closet). Occasional GAS attacks have led to me buying others, many of which were sold due to disappointment with sound or ergonomics. Or both.I get all that Mike - it's very efficient/logical and stripped down to only play one favored bass for most every situation. For me as someone in the guitar-world biz/universe, having more than one to choose from is course/normal. (as in - no biggy) Having more allows choice/discretion of use, and allows comparing/contrasting/weighing of what works best for specific needs. (live/rehearsal/recording etc) The age old "desert island" question (especially on tb) is "if only one bass - which would it be" ... sadly for this thread, I'm afraid it wouldn't be my '64 II. I'll just leave it at that. The thing to remember is that I have a number of basses of the same level of it. Also, I'm a hands-down dyed-in-the-wool T-bird player, (since the early '70s). But as a bass player today - I know what I need to play/hear and have other basses that specifically satisfy that need. (yes, there are other basses than a T-bird...)
I almost never don't run the a/c. Temps might be OK; humididity diriculous. TBH, IDK if my windows even open. If it's a really great day with a west wind, I might open the sliding glass door(and immediately put the sliding screen door in its place-sharp nosed bugs). We almost never run our A/C. It would take 3 days of 110, which usually comes with stagnant nighttime air. We have southwest facing trees and skylights that open. Get that 55 degree air pouring in overnight and then shut everything down for the day. Nice passive cooling. Downside is you have to wear a sweater inside during the winter.
Best weather in the whole country, right here in Seattle!

the ONE thing I don't miss from good ole "La Florida"...I almost never don't run the a/c. Temps might be OK; humididity diriculous. TBH, IDK if my windows even open. There's a little town on the edge of "The 'Glades" called Immokalee. There was a 'skeeter' that showed up at the airport there. The fuel island guys put 25 gallons of AvGas in it B4 they realized what it was.
This may not be entirely true.
You should make up-and post-"IOW, Don't Do StupidAt least that sign is clear.
This one popped up in our little town on the Chesapeake Bay.
I guess it means if you are an idiot and get hurt on the water or on the rocks,it’s on you. What ever happened to just telling your kids..Don’t do stupid sh**?
Might need Marshall to interpret.

" below that one.You should make up-and post-"IOW, Don't Do Stupid" below that one.
Of course, one man's stupid [stuff] is another man's "hold my beer and watch this!"You should make up-and post-"IOW, Don't Do Stupid" below that one.
I can do that with my Crosstrek. There’s even an app, don’t even nee d the key fob.My GMC does that if you remember to hold down the correct button. It does the same in winter with the heater.
So now people hafta steal yer phone to steal yer car?I can do that with my Crosstrek. There’s even an app, don’t even nee d the key fob.
Looks perfect. Too tight can be a problem when assembling a bass and trying to align the pickguard/pickup/neck/bridge. I bit of wiggle room is good and 1mm should be plenty. What do you think about pickup-guard clearance: 1mm on each side of the pickup, like this? Or tighter?
