Looks perfect. Too tight can be a problem when assembling a bass and trying to align the pickguard/pickup/neck/bridge. I bit of wiggle room is good and 1mm should be plenty.

Very cool - as an art student at that time, I for sure dug that cover art and did a pen & ink version of it of my gf then. Musicians are always quoted saying their inspiration for being in a band was "birds" (girls)... but it was the same with artists. Doing a flattering drawing of your gf was "in like Flint".

I drew my wife repeatedly before we were married. Then we had a kid and I had to work a lot harder for a living. Funny how that works. There's only a couple of those drawings left around, since she decided she doesn't like images of herself.

those temp deltas are almost exclusive to CA……I couldn’t grasp it when my dad talked about it when living in FL..

We have had a few days in the 80s, punctuated by nights in the 50s around here, so it's a west coast thing. It's even more extreme in the high desert like parts of New Mexico.
