I keep a backup P_________ MAX 110 in the gigmobile. JIC.Never happened like that before - it was a little baffling. In general I'm always relieved when I flip the mute switch and bass sounds comes out. I do bring a small portable back-up amp (250w TC Electronics) occasionally but didn't yesterday. They want us back and considering I got away with sharing one PA monitor w/vocals I'm thinking I could get away with using my bass room/office amp - a small Acoustic B20 1x12. We played pretty respectfully/low volume - so I know the little B20 would do the job. Having never played that event, I didn't know what to expect - it's more like a coffeehouse gig. Live & learn.
ThreeYeah. Like the mute switch mysteriously getting turned on and not realizing it.
things to avoid at a gig: don't set a glass of overpriced scotch on your amp before the first song - don't leave a pick under your G-string and tune to it - don't forget to return tuning from drop-D to E before starting the next songI've put up a coupla videos on other threads(Rumble Club, EB/SG Club, Combo Club), but because I'm not playing the 67NR, not here. [Outside gigs with typical FL heat and humididity-'Bird stays home in the a/c] Here's one from a car show gig we did in 2015 with a sax player friend of the band sitting in(we've never rehearsed with him):We need some links here from Mike @GonePlaid . None of the searching other forums business.

EDIT: Sorry, YT automatically plays the rest of the song list(from a second show-different amp)-plus something else that I have no idea what it is.
Also posted B4-with TBird(indoors):Oh yeah, I recall you posting that before. Good stuff.![]()
Another one I discovered. Don't put a bottle of water, even sealed, on an amp with the switch on a slanted part of the back of the amp. When the bottle falls off the top of the amp and bounces off the switch, bass goes away for no apparent reason. That leads to a period of scrambling around trying to find a mysterious failure in the middle of a song. Turning the switch back to "on" solves the problem, but that's the last thing anybody looks for.Threethings to avoid at a gig: don't set a glass of overpriced scotch on your amp before the first song - don't leave a pick under your G-string and tune to it - don't forget to return tuning from drop-D to E before starting the next song
