I appears they can't find skilled workers there and are streamlining to stay competitive. Seems like standard biz tactics.

That's the spin they put on it. The MS facilities built the amps/cabs with parts from o'seas. Now it's all done across 'the drink'. I don't have a problem with companies doing that-if they're upfront about it. "They" made it sound like "built in America". Until after "Undercover Boss". The mic stand I use is their brand. Also made B4 the B.S.

I'm at the point where you just have to assume that any & all large corporations regardless of our uses of what they produce will do whatever they want to do regardless of how it impacts people. All large corporations' goal is profit and to enrich its shareholders. Point being - everything you buy is part of this process and the only way to avoid it is not to buy anything.

I can-and do-buy [stuff] knowing what's behind it. I don't knowingly buy [stuff] that's been falsely represented. I'm sure I've been 'snowed' in the past, and prolly will be again, but given a choice, I'll not support the liars.
Example: I know my Epi's weren't built here. But they don't claim they were.

I'm also fully aware that the P______ corporation doesn't know-or care-about my boycott of their [stuff], but I can't in good conscience put the first red cent in their coffers(whatever a 'coffer' is).

EDIT: Prof. Google says coffer=chest or strongbox. Whatever.

Well, you can look for ethical (or the least scummy in some cases) companies to buy from. By all accounts, Hartley cared about his employees. His successor didn’t; otherwise he’d have given them plenty of notice. My employer is one of the most ethical billion dollar companies I know of. They may not be common, but they are out there.

Yah, well... you can draw your line in the sand somewhere if it makes you feel better but it won't change anything. I don't buy from Amazon - but many people do. Like you, it just makes me feel better.

Sorry, no. We build chips. Pretty much anything audio or battery in iPhones or high end Samsungs, as well as some newer laptops, noise-cancelling headphones, etc. More recent forays into camera stabilization, haptics, etc. More to come, but can't say yet!

I hope that's the case.., either that or they have a very successful PR dept.
