The third bolt hole on Babicz bridges is a stupid design. If it's strung left-handed, one of the saddles blocks the bolt, so you have to screw up your intonation to access it. Granted it's not something you're gonna do often, if ever, but it happened to me. I'm very happy with my Hipshots.
Excellent point.

On my Tbirds, I’ve used - Babicz, Hipshot, Gibby and Eppi 3 points, Eppi vintage two piece, Greco three point with claw, BaCH vintage two piece, and even Fender style bent plates. Of the bunch, I don’t hear any significant sound difference.

From a playability standpoint - I had an issue on the Eppi two piece when used with a Fender neck, the Fender neck radius does not match the Eppi saddle heights, so some saddle filing may be called for if you want really low action. I had an issue on the Babicz when the bottom plate was used, it left virtually zero break angle on the E string which was messing up intonation.

From a flexibility standpoint - I’d go with the Hipshot but only if it fits within the raised center block of the reverse Tbird body. The Hipshot does everything the others do plus you can adjust string spacing.

From an Engineering marvel standpoint - it’s hard to beat the Babicz, very unique design and works quite well on most Tbirds, just don’t windmill. On the opposite end of the spectrum is the three point with its known body lug weakness (mostly in Eppi birds) but easily overcome with the Greco claw solution.

From a cost standpoint - it’s hard to beat the Three point which is perfectly functional and can be had for nearly free in many cases.

My personal preference - if replacing an existing three point, I’d go with another three point or possibly the Hipshot. If building new, I’d go with the Eppi vintage two piece.

OMG - I’ve apparently just reached “Level 29”!!!

*** - does that mean? Do I get a free Beer? Is this like Green Stamps (really dating myself now), can I cash them in for a Tbird?

I should clarify that it's more a stupid saddle assembly design than the bolt hole itself.

Though I love the energy and defiance of rock and metal in the face of alienation and tragedy, and atmospheric dissociation of middle class ennui expressed by the likes of Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons, and The Fixx, I can also be a romantic softy-

Hence this offering- reading the lyrics I must admit that I envy those who have experienced a successful life-long-term romance-

You can cash them in at your local A&P. Likely get a free cup and saucer. Since we're dating ourselves. (That sounds really, really weird.)

your garage has no power?.
Nope. It's just a shelter. When I need electricity, I run an extension cord from the house, which makes working in there a bit of a pain. It's also a small garage that was originally built for a Model T so far as I can tell. The Camaro fits in, barely, with my tool boxes. It leaves no room for the motorcycles, which are feral and live in the driveway when the car is in there. It's currently somewhere else, and that's going to be the case for a number of months longer. It's a tradeoff. Not much garage, but we can walk to pretty much everything. It would be just fine if I were like my wife, who thinks of her car as more or less an appliance.

Not even a Hot Wheels[tm] Tbird, alas. At least while not below triple digits. Beyond that is a Mystery,
