Thunderbird Club

I think you did good today!! Love these basses!!
Yeah I always thought it was a really cool design. Les Paul Signature- Finding wouldn't do a Cassady signature with his pup in it, so Epiphone did. Good move, Epiphone.
Talking her out Friday night. She's already got her red dress on...

You're right to be cautious, I see things here that you guys can't, there are reports of problems with sellers/buyers on a regular basis.
Anything involving the internet needs to be approached with caution.

I went to GC during a run of errands to pick up a speaker patch for a GK MB200- they need Speakon connectors. Naturally I "found myself" wandering into the bass room. And there it was, on clearance.
I ended up bringing in my MIM Jazz to get a price for it. I'd got it cheap, put a new nut on it, and after a few gigs it was turning out I wasn't going to be in love with it.
I traded in the Jazz, they have me a decent deal.
That's it.
I think I'm gonna like this one. Needs a thumbrest... But what doesn't. Right Mike?

Well, I'm just in a funny spot in life right now. So being fiscally responsible is, uh, hm. The way. That's it.
But, you know. Screw that. This was a reasonable score, and I've been nagging myself about one for a few years now. I'm a major Cassady fan, love that sound he got with the two amps.
Also it's RED!!
AND that growl with the right setting in the GK is something I'm very much looking forward to hearing.

Fine. It's not a bad thing!
It's a perfect deal('cept for the lack of thumb rest). You got something you wanted and got rid of something you didn't. Win/Win.:bassist:

All my transactions in the classifieds have been successful, so far.
But I haven’t done very many.
All mine have been good and legit, but one. He had sold several times before but I bought a pedal tuner and he got the money and kept the tuner. I was only out $50, another guy bought something from him at a few days after me and was had for about $200 as I recall. We eventually got him banned. Other than that all have been good.

Currently neither of those are in rotation, I doubt that I could even play the version of Turning Japanese we chose to cover anymore, it's too fast and my hands just can't do it.
That's like the video I put up of us doing Johnny B. Goode back in '82. I can't play or sing it that fast now. While somewhat better than the alternative, getting old sux.

They make a Zero-Mod thumbrest to avoid adding holes to the bass.

wanna check it out for a bit?…

Yes as a matter of fact, if I recall correctly that's a single '76 pickup and I haven't heard one in the II configuration. I could like ly be arm twisted into a trip to Hollister at some point to give it a go :)
