Thunderbird Club

They make a Zero-Mod thumbrest to avoid adding holes to the bass.

I've got one stick in with Gorilla double sided tape now. I'll look at that though, thanks Andy!

Not T-Birds, But they all get along nicely. New additions to my Gibson/Epiphone Family. I bought the Blue one a Month ago for dirt Money with a minor headstock repair. I've gigged it twice and the thing just melted faces.. Killer tone and wherever I put my plucking hand makes a different tone, very versatile. Harmonics all over.
This Brown one came up on Reverb last week (I had to have it) I made an offer and now she's mine. I'm not sure why, but these are two of the best sounding and most comfortable playing instruments that I own. I'm in the Money!

What model are these?? Are they newish?? Look really nice

I was getting teased a little in our last rehearsal for being old. I said, "there's one thing you can be sure of with an old man. That bastard is a survivor...so be careful."
We, and definitely those before us had to be tough. Before car seats, seatbelts, warning labels to not touch chainsaws or other moving things, GPS to get home, safe spaces with stuffed animals (for adult college students), and we were raised in a time if you got in trouble at school you got more in trouble when you got home unlike now where parents rush to facebook and X to post nasty things or huff into school and threaten to sue everyone because it's just impossible their little darling would ever do anything wrong....the list is just about endless. One of my wise coworkers tells younger people when they get mouthy because they know 8 things and think that's all there is to know, "You forget, I had to go through your age to get to mine." (She's smart enough to know greater age does not equate greater wisdom.)

When I was a kid, this is how my dad put it:

I know a lot more about being young than you know about being old.

I haven't used that line on the kid. We got lucky and he hasn't needed it. But I will pass it along to him just in case he ends up with a sassy kid one day.

I like it.

Just how often did your dad have to use that one?

You're killin' me! Surprised Jeff isn't visiting there before jetting to Seattle! I have a show and TV interview out in Pt. Angeles on Wednesday, leaving here today. The weather here has been fantastic 80-85, a little cooler next week.

But to expensive to rearrange my flights.

And have a great time and killer tv interview!

Knock 'em dead, Queen!

Oddly quiet in here today. Maybe because Doug isn't on a trip to India?

Have any of you used Sweetwater's Gear Exchange? I listed a pedal there, here, on Reverb, and at work last January, and eventually quit thinking about it. Sudden'y, in May, it sold. I listed a pedal here and on GX last week, and it sold within two days on GX. Since I don't demand funds in my bank account, but let Sweetwater put it in a gift card, there are no fees. Since Reverb became a more expensive proposition, as well as a major headache getting my money transferred to my credit union, I think GX, here, and the list at work are what I'll stick with going forward. Maybe GC; I haven't tried them yet.
