Thunderbird Club

Not T-Birds, But they all get along nicely. New additions to my Gibson/Epiphone Family. I bought the Blue one a Month ago for dirt Money with a minor headstock repair. I've gigged it twice and the thing just melted faces.. Killer tone and wherever I put my plucking hand makes a different tone, very versatile. Harmonics all over.
This Brown one came up on Reverb last week (I had to have it) I made an offer and now she's mine. I'm not sure why, but these are two of the best sounding and most comfortable playing instruments that I own. I'm in the Money! View attachment 6982382
I’ve always heard that those basses are really good sounding and playing, awesome score on the second one, Henry!

Ashdown guts. I took it out to air can it and blow out any dust from over the years. I do it on the deck so my neighbor thinks I'm smart and know what I'm doing. Actually just don't want dust in the house.

Look at that big, beautiful toroid! 😍

Fabulous afternoon here on Washington’s north coast, 70 degrees and a little breeze off the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Life is good!

I have yet to play a Casady bass, but they sure look cool. I always seem to have one on my short list, but for some reason a Tbird purchase keeps getting prioritized over a JC purchase. Now that I’m pretty well flush with birds of every feather I might lean into a JC a bit more. Would love to hear your review on it.

Those Money basses are the Bomb! I have the two Gibson Guitar of the week basses from 2007 (lava burst SG Supreme and Blonde SG Supreme) but I’ve always wanted to add the two money basses from that year as well. I’ve heard they sound fantastic! Congrats on the excellent score.
I'll gig the JC this weekend, and drop a buzz here.
I'll likely be using a GK 400RB into a small 215 can loaded with Kappalite 3015s. Probably a little dose of SansAmp on and off, A/B style.
It's a very different feel from the Bird, also any solid body.

Released some new music. This track features the Alpine White VP (not that the colour shows when listening, or maybe it does). Played with the pick.
Drums were played by my friend and I tackled all the 6 & 12 string electric guitars, 12-string bass and synthesizers.
Should be on Spotify soon alongside the other song on the single (which has me on Wasp synth and other friend on percussion).

That is excellent! The first track is very Hackettesque.

I didn't imply doing that - just if money will be involved, double checking doesn't strike me as unusual - especially on-line. A simple "is this you" to their PM would suffice.
I’ve made about a dozen Reverb purchases. All but one were from brick and mortar music stores with a Reverb shop. Easy enough to research them.
