Thunderbird Club

They were more than awesome at the Garden in '71.
Was Jaggers birthday and Stevie Wonder was the opener.
A show i'll never forget.
In the mid-'60s when I was a pre-teen (not a term used then!) I preferred The Rolling Stones over the Beatles (and The Dave Clark 5) and followed them (another term not used) into the early '70s. 1st RS LP I bought was Aftermath - still one of my favorites.

I hate the new site design. I’ve watched this club for a while and I’m the old design got one notification if someone had replied. Now I get a notification when everyone replies, spamming my notification box. More I have to unwatch the club
I don't watch anything. Problem solved. There's always something new here, usually too much new. So no point in watching it. Just surf in occasionally.

I think he's on the road with Eskimo Brothers again. They're in and out of Nashville so much it's kinda hard to keep track. Keep hoping to catch him in town to meet him.
I was supposed to meet him around this time last year in Paso Robles where they were playing. But I had a fall and broke my ankle so I missed out. I need to see if they’re coming back to California.

Love it Geo! Possibly my favorite song from your band. It hits all my sweet spots…

Starts out in a free unstructured trippy laid back Grateful Dead type jam, then expertly evolves into a Mazzy Star meets Nancy Sinatra vocal track overlaying a Nick Cave band vibe, goes back to some trippy mood defining instrumentals mid way through, followed by those awesome Mazzy/Nancy vocals, wrapping up in a deconstructed free form individual instrument fade out, and of course chatter at the end to remind us this track isn’t supposed to be formal as much as it is supposed to be mood altering.

Superbly executed by the band! No single member of the band was in lead, it all just flowed and swelled in complete unison, almost like a living organism.

Pass my congrats on to the entire band and the sound engineers that brought this together, and by all means, do more stuff along this very same line, it’s a rare style of music these days and might have a huge following.

FWIW - I’ve always loved the Stones version (one of the few songs of theirs I really like) but by comparison, they sound more structured, more formal (cheesy synth could have been left out) and more sterile than your bands take, they have less emotion and mood. I like your version much better than theirs. Do more!
