Yes, with an almost certainly slow rate of return at those prices. Unless one is going to live another 50 yrs maybe. More like for the artist who receives weekly checks the size of most people's quarterly income or more. Good on them for getting there, I wish more could live the dream, but it sure makes vintage instruments unaffordable for most average players. Which is why my '58, '64 Pbasses and '62 J have all have the body professionally refined at some point. Which is fine by me. Made them "reasonable" to justifiable in buying given they are not making me any money via playing.
Oh, and I have a 1971 Jazz with the rare pickup spacing in a custom order black for $25,000 if any one is interested! Even has the covers and original Fender strap.(Everyone here would get the family discount--better than normal price.)
