I learned bass clef on trombone, and later treble clef for guitar, dinking around on piano, and just because. Now ofta clef, that's ones painful.

I will not lie. Returning to reading has not been all that easy except when I’m at a piano. Our brains work in mysterious ways.

I'm definitely slower at reading than I used to be but if I start thinking like a trombonist again, it's easier. It's like having a Gil Hamilton arm playing slide while my other two play bass guitar. Still rusty, but less so than without the slide arm.

All the tri-engine DC series were a bit loud if you were stuck in the back. Earplugs or headphones were key for comfort back there. Otherwise, yep.

Fortunately never happened to me. My favorite plane to fly from ‘75 to ‘85. Three trans con trips.

Two of my favorite flights were in a Constellation(from Japan to The Philippines)and in a Lockheed Electra. My last flight in a commercial airliner was in a Boeing 720, Miami to Milwaukee, 12/25/1970.

Well….there was that. But a very comfortable plane. But I’m a small guy. I have not had a comfortable flight in twenty years.

I had such a fun time with you, Frank and the gang. My wife has relatives in Kent. Damn. I should have accepted that transfer in 2010. Who knew? Seattle rocks!
