I modified my bridge cover spacers to 2mm thick for the Ripper. The ones on the Orville are 4mm.

They are one of the few strings I have not tried. On GHS threads even GHS fans take them off after trying them. I assume they are similar to D'A's Ground wounds (whatever they call them). Those are very grabby and never sounded right on anything when I tried them yrs ago. They wold have to sound amazing to live with the feel.

I have used and very much like GHS Progressive rounds and Precision flats. Not familiar with any of their other many options.

Thanks for that offer- I'm not actually having any issues since that one broke on me after changing the strings. @JIO came through then and sent me a spare he had sitting around (thanks again man).
I've never had another issue with the three-point, I've got them on four basses now, no general issues with how they do their job.

D'A's are Half rounds. I had 'em on the 67 many years ago and liked them. Tried them again ~4 years ago. They must've changed sumpin'.:thumbsdown:

I like the D'A Half-Rounds - depending on the bass of course, which seems needless to say talking about any strings.

Jeff turned me on to the EBCF's and they've become my go-to. I can get all the variety of sounds that I want out of any bass I have them on with minimal amp tweaking*-one generic setting on the amp, minor adjustments on the bass(es). Btw, I use one bass per gig, preferably the 67 NR, with my backup(Epi EB-0)hiding in the gigmobile in case of h.s. separation.:eek: (not enuff room on stage for both at the places we play)
Two gigs this weekend. Prolly use the 67 NR on both. At least that's the plan. And we know how 'plans' go.

* definitely not twerking

Evolution of my Saundersbird - early version, 1st assembled many years ago ... generic 3 band 9v pre & kill-switch' ... Epi body from(?) and late '80s Saunders P-neck made at the newly formed FCS then.
