I can get all the variety of sounds that I want out of any bass I have them on with minimal amp tweaking*-one generic setting on the amp, minor adjustments on the bass(es). Two gigs this weekend. Prolly use the 67 NR on both. At least that's the plan. And we know how 'plans' go.

Have fun on those two gigs Mike :thumbsup: Bond Girl will play a gig in Pacifica at a joint called 'The Long Board' (used to be called 'The Octopus' complete with a pole-dancing pole... fortunately or otherwise I never witnessed it being used...) this Sunday - Winters' competition as they are close in proximity but they usually only book cover bands. (which we are, sorta'...). I've played there a few times in the past - a decent gig with a coastal crowd. :bassist: Surfs up! Actually Bond movies/music/soundtracks and surf are inextricably linked both 'born' in the reverb-drenched early '60s.

It was called that when I first moved to Pacifica in 2010. Walking distance from my house 1/2 block from the Pacific Ocean. Saw my favorite Bay Area band 'The Mermen' there on a Wednesday night! The mirrored pole cracked me up! I only imagined how... interesting that must have been!

It was a real small-mall coastal dive back then...

Here's a couple pic's of younger Geo playing there with our 'power trio' "At Last.., Dubuque". Guitarist Reid, a decent illustrator/cartoonist drew my cyclist-tanned arm "tattoo" for the gig. It reminded me of The Meat Puppets where leader/guitarist/songwriter/artist Kirk Kirkwood would draw cool drawings on his bass-playing brother Chris's arms for shows. I never had an actual tattoo... :D

Playing an early Factorbird hybrid - an early '90s FCS Kubicki Factor body w/maple Fender authorized AllParts maple J neck w/redefined hs that I called the "J-Factor". It's previewed on 'The Kubicki Factor' Facebook page. Sold it many years ago. It was a cool (passive) bass and the guy who bought it loved it!

In fairness, I will say that I have not had them on anything in well over a decade. It's possible I may not find them offensive these days. May even like Chromes. Might like their round wound strings. Maybe one, liking all is a big ask. But with the Ashdown and different cab from back then, it is possible. I still have a set of their half-wounds and several of their rounds. If I find I like all of those, it's a sure thing I will also begin to have a taste for Peanut Butter flavored whiskey. :smug::woot:

High pass. Cuts lows, passes highs.

The bad thing is the possibility of other musicians doing it. A typical thief would more likely just grab the expensive looking items (personal experience, not as a thief). That's a lot of stuff to sell off--unless some out of town guys knew of it. But I have never found musicians to be thieves. At lot of things, but that was never something I encountered, but I'm sure a few are.
