Hmmm. Never thought of it as curious. It’s by Dunlop. All my current straps are. They’re 65” long and come in a variety of patterns. This is from their I LOVE DUST collection. It’s “Electronic Tears.”

Note: not all Dunlop straps are this long.

I'm going back the the Eden from the GK 400RB for now. There was never anything wrong with the Eden, I was trying to get more 'grind from the T-Bird CP, which I did! But the Eden has a 'lush' thing to it, something that plumbs a little deeper that I like, even in a live mix it does its thing.
I guess this trip with amps and sound never really ends...

Ok another, related q... I can't remember what they're called, but you know those little metal bars with holes drilled for strings, at the same spacing that's on the three-point bridges? They're used as a spacer at the back of the bridge, specifically to keep the silk/wrapped end of the string from sitting on the bridge saddle.
Anybody know where to get those? Or do I have to make them myself... (fine...)

You can look on eBay for a “mod bar.” I have them on my Epi IV and CP.

Another subject: I recall some chat about three point bridges, and that the Gibsons were made of actual steel while the Epis were made of pot metal. I'm just checking here to confirm that... I'm talking to a dude in the UK who's got one for sale.
Now, if this is true, would a Gibson fit into the stud/insert spacing on an Epiphone?

No concrete proof that there’s a metal difference between Eppi and Gibby three points, the Greco three point yes, not sure of the others but it wouldn’t surprise me if there was a difference. As far as fit goes, I’ve been under the impression that Gibson and Epiphone three points bridge bodies are interchangeable, just not the studs. Eppi uses metric studs and Gibson uses SAE studs, so neither one will thread into the others insert. Eppi also uses a raised face body insert whereas Gibby uses a flush mount body insert. So as long as you use your original bolts I’d think the Gibson three point body would work on the Eppi.
All that said, before you buy one you might want to give a shout out in this club and the SG club to see if anyone has a spare they don’t want, you might get it for free. I had two of them (both black) that I’d have given you but I can’t find them, if I run across them their yours.

I love the looks of the Eppi Rex Brown but haven’t tried one yet. If you get it be sure to check back here and give us all a review or a video clip, I don’t recall anyone in the group here having one yet. You might be the first.

I get your concern, but unless someone knew what issue was being referred to-and where it was-there's no problem. I mean it could be my water heater. Or the the set of GHS Brite Flats strings that I didn't like. Or my insurance company. Or. Or. Or.;)

Hipshot Supertone bridges fit Epi and Gibson Thunderbirds, so the OEM bridges should be interchangeable. Greco copied Gibson but the Epi bridge fits the Greco.
