DO IT!
DO IT!!
DO IT!!!!If i did have that sort of dough to spend,
I'd probably chicken out and go the route of finding 2 or 3 Birds.
Late '90's on up.
Wouldn't be vintage......................
Maybe mod one or two.

Please do itEasy now, we should only be careful enablers here![]()

It's cool, i don't expect anybody to go easy on me.
"Love" is likely my fave rock album ever................
"Sanctuary", it just doesn't get any better for me.
It's there in my sig, but yeah, my band had to do that song.
We're up to five exclamations now. Follow along. In that case... DO IT!!!

I don't recall what particular issue you're having with the three point bridge but just about any problem with it can be fixed cheaper than buying a new bridge. About the biggest problem with the 3 point is loose inserts pulling out. If that's the problem there's a dead easy dirt cheap 100% effective DIY solution.I'm still "at war" with the 3point on my classic pro.
Anybody put a Fender-style high mass Bridge on a bird? is it high enough or will I have to turn the saddles all the way up and still have the strings lying on the last fret?
I've been lucky with shipping. I did mail a bass recently I'm a hardshell. The case wasn't that great, I threw it in for free. The case ended up damaged but not the bass. It wasn't damaged to the point where it could not be used. Buyer made a big issue and charged me back. He was wanting to return a $900 bass over a free damaged case.Super bummer but that's a crappy packing job. I ship USPS domestically and internationally with no problems.
YOU HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO PACK. You can't just throw a bass in a crap case, put it in a duct taped, recycled box without adequate packing materials and expect it to arrive undamaged. I doubt the shipper will be able to get paid on a claim for that abortion.
I insure all my basses for full value. I only expect to collect if the bass is lost. Verifying a properly packed shipment is a nightmare. I've had three arrive with a damaged case but only one bass with any damage, it was fairly slight.
Including 8 ExplorerBirds by Priority Mail with no damage, one each to Italy and Japan.
In another life my RTA furniture company was the largest UPS shipper in my county. All packaging had to be drop tested to qualify for insurance coverage. That's three times on each of the six corners from a height of 18 inches.
Welcome to the real world, hold the outrage.
