IMO you'd be crazy not to. That's a steal. You could make a profit just flipping it if you didn't like it.

Simple fix, just get a pick up of your choice.Since I struck out on the Greco II, should I buy a Bach? Did I hear the pickups aren't that great?
Thank you. And the lord said, it shall be Pelham Blue.My Bird brothers, I am unfortunately not in a position to purchase this incredibly cheap Bach NRII w/o causing much spousal strife but hopefully one of you will promptly scoop it up. Less than $500 shipped.

Too late.Since I struck out on the Greco II, should I buy a Bach? Did I hear the pickups aren't that great?
Can’t let it unfold, it’s in prime eating form. You need @JJR58 to take the picture of that NY fold.
That was a great price for a rare Thunderbird. This one will get a Lollar and a Wilkins refin in Pelham Blue. And a Tusq nut. BaCHs Rock!IMO you'd be crazy not to. That's a steal. You could make a profit just flipping it if you didn't like it.
Nice. Y'all have Pizza Hut too! But it seems they do things differently in NYC.

I hope it isn't the one I sold because I told that guy I would buy it back if he decided to part with it. There was nothing wrong with mine but it had a black pearl guard made for it. The pickup in mine was one of the guitar humbucker-sized TB-Plus from an LP Standard bass put inside a chrome pickup cover. Be interested to see if it was mine. Congrats on your score Marshall!!Again @saltymonkey, thank you. I saw your post, clicked the link, read the description, and immediately hit buy now. I was surprised it was still available.
Sorry Dave @Stealth57, I did not see your question until after the fact. I was so excited I just had to get it. That is not the original Artec pickup. Who knows what it is. It could be anything, from a Chinabucker, a 760 Probucker, or something special. The seller probably doesn’t know. I can’t wait to find out!
That one is from the second run or later. The first run didn’t have a belly cut. It’s a bit on the heavier side. Mine, also Ebony, is about 8 1/2 pounds.
I wonder if it has one of Scott’s @godofthunder59 ’s pickguards? I have one of Scott’s PGs on mine with his hot-stamped Thunderbird logo.
It’s from AZ. I wonder if Andy @Nocturnal knows it?
My immediate thought, before I realized it wasn’t an Artec, was that it’ll get a Lollar. But after looking at the pics, I realize it has something else. In my dreams it’ll be a Lull, or a Thunderbucker Ranch.
I haven’t been this excited since George @GBassNorth sold me his BaCH II a couple years ago.
It’s nice to be back in the game after having some financial issues for about a year. I have three specific wants moving forward. There were some opportunities the last year that I couldn’t swing. I will be checking on those. Then I’m probably done. But never say never.

Thanks Andy. We’ll see. Since only about 90 were produced, I suspect there is someone out there who knows it.I hope it isn't the one I sold because I told that guy I would buy it back if he decided to part with it.
