Thats great to hear!! Its a little bit of a drive, but only about 90 minutes. Hopefully this means we will get to hang out regularly and maybe entice a few club members to join us.

Congratulations to Marshall on the Dodgers win (no offense to any Yankees fans). I didn't watch any of it, but as a former Dodger fan, I was really happy about that. I will say the cats in LA need to tone down the "celebration" in the streets thing. Be happy--but don't tear stuff up. Anything is an excuse for some lowlifes it seems.
Here in Kentucky, the Univ of Kentucky (Lexington) seem to have a thing for burning couches when significant games go well. But it is UK and is in Lex.....and not my team.

Partridge has his daemons. Don’t many of us. I loved them. But they never really took off here. Their catalog is an eclectic mix of great pop and rock. Some accessible, some not so much. Both were great writers. They coulda, woulda, shoulda been bigger than they were.

The Boys in Blue prevailed in a season of big ups and downs. The pitching was erratic all seasons with a revolving staff, plagued by injuries. But Freddie, Mookie, Teoscar, Mr. Clutch Kike Hernandez, late acquisition Tommy Edmonds, and Ohtani somehow made it happen. There are a lot of decisions to be made in the offseason. It’ll be an interesting winter watching to see who’ll be there in April. But I’m savoring a long overdue series win (2020 has an asterisk).

There are people in L.A. who have no class. It’s one reason I don’t live down there and hide up in the mountains and in Bako.

Ha! My parents were very close to retiring in Payson. Their best friends from college retired there. Then the husband passed away very suddenly and they decided not to do it. It’s a nice community from what I remember from twenty years ago.

I have a good friend born on Halloween. There was a few of us back in undergrad art-school who were "holiday-boys" - another on July 4th and me on J1.
