I thought only the cap was maple. The body mahogany. Could be wrong.

Yes, some Les Paul guitars have full maple bodies, including custom models and one-offs:
Les Paul Ultima: A fancy, chambered guitar with a full maple body
Gibson Les Paul Maple Body Solid Electric Guitars: These guitars include the Pink VICERS LP, the 1959 Relic Custom Shop Slow Iced Tea Fade, and the Gibson Les Paul "The Velvet Rose" Custom Shop Masterpiece Figured Maple
The rest are heavy regardless of wood variety!

Gig report! Gigs have been few and far between but my Sabbath/ Ozzy tribute was rock'n Friday night (almost didn't happen singer had a heart procedure and the guitar player was running fever all week). The camera finally caught my solo and I'm pretty pleased. It starts with little homage to Geezer then I go off and make noise. The Bonanza theme pops up because years ago I was nicknamed Hoss at the The House of Guitars and I wanted to inject a little fun. Unfortunately I don't get to use my Thunderbirds this gig, I do miss that. The effect pedal is my WARM Jet Phaser.

My LPB2/5 is mahogany with flame maple top. It ain't light.

Yep. Lots of Crazy Horse stuff had some guy named Neil playing one with a Bigsby.
That's my understanding - mahogany with a maple carved to cap. I'm sure there are exceptions.
I think this is a 78 so Norland era like my Ripper. The lacquer is dull but not checked. The binding and inlays have gone almost brown.
It's been played a lot despite the weight. My small scale only goes to 10 lbs, so I'll weigh it on the bathroom scale later. I'm guessing 14.
Not yet listed-anywhere. Figuring the 67 NR to be worth ~$8K+/-. Don't really wanna sell it, but might become necessary. Also IDK how much longer I'm gonna be playing...Anything. Opinions?

I have in the past had to do the same thing, it's not a fun thing to sell a bass that you obviously have a great deal of attachment to, I do understand that it may just be what you have to do.
At some point I (or Frank) will sell my basses as I just won't be able to play them anymore and I do want them to go to people that will play and enjoy them.
I don't see that happening in the foreseeable future, but, it will happen because it just won't make sense to have so much money tied up in basses if I can't play them. While none of us probably wants to dwell on this, we'll all have to deal with it at some point.
New toy arrived while I was gone. Haven’t even fired it up yet.

I can't even think about it. Hoping it doesn't come to this. Can you sell anything but that? Makes my head hurt thinking of this.
I'm considering a few things to get rid of even now. One G&L is listed already.
As a last resort. Sell other stuff first. Play it ‘til you can’t. Then let you and your daughter decide what’s best.
I guess. The MM you parted with was a better sounding amp. I get it that those are light and convenient. And if your gig turns out, it’ll probably come in handy.
The only reason to get it was transportability and loud enough for most gigs. It does sound good. Add the extension cable and it really would rattle the windows. Offers keep rolling in but follow up is slow. Some day.
