Thunderbird Club

When I saw him, at one point of the night he brought on Johnny Winters. The audience went wild. I know a lot of people like JW, but compared to The Iceman? I couldn't wait untill he got off stage and attention was back on AC. I have nothing against JW - I've just never liked his style of blues-shredding.
I love Edgar and Johnny. My fave was when they both were in White trash (along with Rick). The whole band was excellent. Roadwork - their live album - is another fave.

I don’t get the “this bass will be buried with me” thing. Somebody out there could use that bass - whether to sell or to play. Especially Gibsons, as they are comparatively rare.
Better - "I'll take this bass to my grave", meaning I'll own it until I die. Beth will outlive me and friends who know the value of my vintage basses will help her sell them for a good price. I've already promised a couple to friends.

Yeah, I thought you guys loved the Greco’s because they were the Growliest (capital G) ?
Can growl, have great low end and highs as desired, very responsive, easy to play until way up the neck. Just about the perfect Thunderbird. If they had body bevels and thinner necks, they’d be perfect in my book.

I have said the ‘15 goes with me. More as an expression of how much it means to me. If I last another twenty five or so years, it oughta be worth a nice chunk of change. My kids will know what to do.

Karen (Sharon’s twin) and Marvin (her hubby) flew in from Charlotte. I went to the doc due to my swollen tongue & throat (nothing to do with my special age, thank you), and came home with steroids and an epi pen. We went to Moonshine Grill for my birthday dinner. Chilling now.
Our daughter, Esther, her hunny, and 3 kids arrive tomorrow. They all leave next Friday. We hope to have another 3 families or so from church/extended family on Christmas day.
Hope you feel better, Miles, and enjoy all the deserved attention.
