Thanks, y’all, and happy birthday, Mr North! Way off on the age, tho. I hit a magic number today - 69.
Happy birthday, George!
And happy correct birthday, Miles.
Happy Birthday George and Miles!
Happy Birthday George. Cheers!
Have a Great Day George & Miles, anything fun/special planned?
Back the the topic of Greco's, I'm still not sure of the hoopla, from what I've gathered there's plenty of bass and low mids, and output. For ME, solid, but not heavy bass is good, low-mids ideal, with decent highs. But also VERY important is growl, or if I can get it snarl. Will the Greco pickups get me what I like? Polite basses have gone the way of the Dodo bird in my bass world.
Another Bday!!!
Happy Birthday @GBassNorth!
So many birthdays this month. Happy Birthday my friend. I hope to see you soon..
A most Happy Birthday to you, George @GBassNorth

Happy Birthday @GBassNorth !!! Hope you have a great day!!
In the order of too far to way, way too far away...Happy Birthday to Miles and George. I think y'all should run around in the street necked with just a Thunderbird strapped on to celebrate in style.
(We trust your word, so no need to post pics to prove it happened.)
Happy Birthday George
Happy Birfdays @Miles_ONeal and @GBassNorth !
They really need to ask us about Thunderbirds.
It’s definitely on the bucket list.I highly recommend making the trip and visiting with Geoff. I really enjoyed meeting him.
me too!To all (and I hope I haven’t missed anyone) thanks so much for the Birthday well wishes! It’s been a great year and I’m looking forward to trying to make it to the 2025 GTG.
can't beat....Can growl, have great low end and highs as desired, very responsive, easy to play until way up the neck. Just about the perfect Thunderbird. If they had body bevels and thinner necks, they’d be perfect in my book.
Even better “this is the bass I’d save in a house fire”Better - "I'll take this bass to my grave", meaning I'll own it until I die. Beth will outlive me and friends who know the value of my vintage basses will help her sell them for a good price. I've already promised a couple to friends.

Thanks!Good evening folks, I am late to the party but hope Miles and George both have had very happy birthdays!
I stopped by the pawn shop, and while the EB5 did not come home with me, I was impressed. Great sounds and comfortable neck. A few scratches, but nothing serious. Exceeded my expectations as the saying goes. Going to visit the shop and try it again when its not late Friday on the way home after a very long day. I suspect fresh strings, a good set up, and some Deoxit would really make her sing.
Lovely pair!Thx George, '70, stuff of dreams....thinking of taking along tonight......
masterfully setup (as well as the custom build P behind it) by our own @JIO ..

The plan for me is to get an EB 5 very soon. I hope you decide to pick it up.Thanks!
That is a legendary clip among fans. Angry, raw, and intense.
I have a 4-sring version and I like it quite a lot. The pickups do have a strong magnetic pull which was (and still is to some degree) creating more fret buzz than I can tolerate. It wasn’t until I sunk the pickups into the body more than you would think you should, that the buzz was mitigated.I stopped by the pawn shop, and while the EB5 did not come home with me, I was impressed. Cool! I’ve always liked Cal Samuel’s line on it. He was a way underrated player.I have a 4-sring version and I like it quite a lot. It’s nice and lightweight and has a different sound than any other bass I have. I have found the neck pickup in humbucker mode (neck volume knob in) and the bridge in single coil mode (bridge volume knob pulled up) is the best tone for me and the rig at my rehearsal space.
I don't even like bringing that sort of thing to mind... having my '63 II stollen was bad enough.Even better “this is the bass I’d save in a house fire”
I assume that was for @Border , not me.The plan for me is to get an EB 5 very soon. I hope you decide to pick it up.
