I’ll pipe up from the Antipodes, I have an Epiphone Goth with a wide neck 1.78” (I think), but it isn’t that deep. I believe they call it “slim taper”. Whatever they call it - I like it.
Just pointing out that in the lower reaches of the Epiphone range these bolt ons are available with both wide, slim taper, necks and the more T’Bird traditional 1.5” neck. They change over time, seemingly at a whim - which is Gibson Epiphone’s usual modus operandi.
One more point to make on the Gibson Reverse’s (I haven’t tried a NR) - the image of being big heavy basses is incorrect imo. I have been surprised by them being not very heavy at all. The wings can be quite thin. Of course that is a personal perspective. My Gibson is 9lbs give or take a bit - just nearly 4kgs.
