I think George asked about recordings for the Thunderbird II. Here are some samples of the muted 64, Willbird, VP, CP, and 2015. The 2015 had a lot of string noise when tone was dimed. If I can get the mutes out of the way, I'll add that to the recording.

Ahhhh....Bass nerd fix! The '64 with mutes really sounded Motown amazing.

I have done this several times. It drives my wife insane!!

Fortunately she likes it and agrees I should look for another damaged Epi. For the sake of marital harmony I'm not going to argue with her about it.

I can get a similar sound from my JC, so really want to let the 64 cut loose. A bridge swap is a simple operation.

In an attempt to spoil my less than six-month-old granddaughter and win Grandfather Of The Year, I bought her the smallest Thunderbird I could find. I am still building her a full size 7enderBird, but she won't be big enough to play it until she is at least 2 This little Bird will need to hold her over for now.

Glad she has a solid Grandpa. If only I had one like you! In fact, I'll gladly call you Grandpa, Gramps, Pop, anything you prefer if there might be a Thunderbird for your old....I mean oldest grandson.

Yes, as far as I know, but it wouldn't hurt and I was working so letting it set was no problem. Shoot, the sticker from SW said to let it set fro 24 hrs. No musician has that kind of self-control.

This electric ukulele and an 8 string mando-Bird were stock offerings some time back. Here is another version on Sweetwater right now.
13 7/8" scale, so strings might be a challenge.
Looks like they offered the uke's in several cool colors.

Wow! If I could find one of those gold sparkle ones I’d be all over it. Are they in standard EADG tuning?
